Introduction to the abbot's room: The abbot's room in Sifang Temple is where Jin Nong began to live when he was seventy years old. Jin Nong was born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang in the 26th year of Kangxi's reign. His talent emerged early, and he gained a reputation as a poet at a young age, and was deeply appreciated by the seniors in central Zhejiang. However, such days did not last long. Because his father died and his family suddenly became poor, Jin Nong's desire to make progress could not be realized. In his later years, he lived in this small courtyard with two front and three rooms.
