Introduction to rockery: Shi Tao, a monk, was a famous landscape painter in the Qing Dynasty. He founded the Yangzhou School of Painting and was the pioneer of the Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou. He lived in Yangzhou in his later years and built a rockery by himself in the courtyard of Pianshi Shanfang. The rockery contained two stone houses that were said to be cool in winter and cool in summer. Only the remaining rocks of the main peak of the rockery stand against the wall. It has been fully restored, allowing the beautiful scenery to be reproduced.
