Introduction to the former site of the Danish Consulate: The Danish Consulate was built in the 16th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1890). It is located at the northern end of Shanxi Consul Road in Yantai. It is surrounded by mountains and sea and is shaded by ancient trees. You can not only watch the sea and listen to the waves, but also enjoy the flowers and stroll. The environment is very elegant. And because it is located in front of the Dragon King Temple, it is known as the place of "gods". The whole building is a stone structure with three floors, including two above the ground. The outstanding characteristics of the building are concentrated in the fact that its walls are all made of rough brown granite rough stone masonry, which are closely connected and well-proportioned. The roof is a climbing platform, with stone-clad guardrails and columns made of stones. The ancient castle-like appearance, especially the thick walls and "hole"-style windows without brick corners, as well as the forehead-style gates and undulating roofs, is even more extraordinary, which is not seen in modern buildings in Yantai. The current consulate The office and decorative supplies displayed and placed in the old site were specially transported from Denmark to Yantai through the Danish Embassy in China as a permanent commemoration of the friendly exchanges between the two countries.
