Introduction to Wanli Chongyi: The former residence of Yan Xishan is a private residence of Yan Xishan, who ruled Shanxi for nearly 40 years during the Republic of China. It is located in Hebian Village, Dingxiang County, Shanxi Province (originally part of Wutai County). It was first built around 1913. By the time the Anti-Japanese War broke out in 1937, 30 large and small buildings including the Dudu's Mansion, Deyilou, General's Mansion, Erlaotaiye's Mansion, Chuanxinyuan, East Garden, West Garden and Ziming Salesian Home were successively built. There are many courtyards and nearly a thousand houses (27 existing courtyards and more than 700 houses), covering a total area of more than 33,000 square meters.
