Introduction to Mawang Palace: When you enter the courtyard the second time, in addition to the county government lobby in the front, there are six rooms on both sides of the lobby. The so-called Liufang refers to the six offices established by prefectures and counties during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The three rooms on the left include officials, households, and rituals; the three rooms on the right include soldiers, punishments, and workers. Among them, the Lifang is responsible for the appointment and dismissal, performance appraisal and promotion of subordinate officials; the Hufang is responsible for land, household registration, taxation, finance, etc.; the Lifang is responsible for ceremonies, imperial examinations, schools, etc.; the Military Fang is responsible for military affairs; the Xingfang is responsible for justice, litigation, etc.; and the Gongfang is responsible for Engineering, construction, farming, water conservancy, etc.
