Introduction to the Temple of Our Lady of Kunrou: The Temple of Our Lady of Kunrou is also known as the Emperor Tianhou Tu Temple, or can be directly called the Hou Tu Temple. It is a place for worshiping the land. It is also a place where people pray for rain, a good agricultural harvest, and a full family of descendants. The Temple of Our Lady of Kunrou is dedicated to the Empress Houtu, and it is also commonly known as the Empress Temple among the people. The Temple of Our Lady of Kunrou is located on the earthen wall of Xiexi Village, 8 kilometers northeast of Ji County, Shanxi Province. It was first built in 1023. The existing Temple of Our Lady of Kunrou is a relic of the Yuan Dynasty.
