Introduction to South Gate Square: Nanxunmen is one of the six major gates in the ancient city of Yinchuan, so it is habitually called "Nanmen Tower" by local people. The gate tower faces south. In 1953, the city walls on the east and west sides were demolished and the South Gate Square was opened. It is a place for major celebrations and gatherings in Yinchuan.
