Introduction to Xijianshan: Xijianshan was formed about 20.8 million years ago. Its basalt columnar joints are a wonder of the world, similar to the rock columnar joints of the volcano known as the "Devil's Tower" in Wyoming, USA. Xijianshan is also known as the "Oriental Devil's Tower".
