Introduction to historical sites: Shimen Pass was built in the Sui Dynasty. In the past, there were two doors one foot and two thick. Once the door was closed and the door bar was raised, the Central Plains and the frontier were isolated. Especially during the Tianbao period of the Tang Dynasty, war broke out. After Nanzhao rebelled against the Tang Dynasty, Shimen Pass was closed for more than 40 years. It was not until Yuan Zi was ordered to go to Nanzhao to enshrine Yimouxun that Shimen Pass was reopened.
