Introduction to Zhengjue Temple: Zhengjue Temple is located to the west of the new palace gate of Qichun Garden and is commonly known as the Lama Temple. Built in 1773 (the thirty-eighth year of Qianlong's reign), there is a lama abbot in the temple who is responsible for chanting sutras and burning Buddhist scriptures at the Fanxiang Tower in Changchun Garden and other places. Today only the octagonal Manjusri Pavilion and a few side halls remain.
