Introduction to Gardandong Zhulin Temple: Gardandong Zhulin Temple is located on the east slope of Yongganding in the south of Shusong Village, Benzilan Township, Deqin County. It is about 105km away from Zhongdian County and 23km away from the township resident Benzilan. The Yunnan-Tibet Highway crosses the mountainside behind the temple. Cars can go directly to the temple and it is accessible all year round. Gardandong Zhulin Temple is one of the Thirteen Lin Temples in Kangzang and the earliest birthplace of Tibetan Buddhism in western Yunnan. Due to its long history and numerous treasures, it is managed by many living Buddhas.
Transportation information: (Passenger bus) Take the bus bound for Deqin from Shangri-La County and get off at Gadandong Zhulin Temple. (Chartered car) You can list the Gardandong Zhulin Temple as a stop when visiting Shangri-La. It is more convenient to charter a car to visit together.
