Introduction to Dabao Temple: Dabao Temple is a famous Buddhist holy place in Diqing. It is located on a small mountain 15 kilometers east of Shangri-La County. Before Dabao Temple changed its religion to the Gelug Sect and became a temple affiliated with Songzanlin Temple, eminent monks from the Karma Kagyu Sect came here. People regard the water on the left side of the mountain where Dabao Temple is located as the six-character mantra water of Guanyin Bodhisattva, and the water on the right side of the mountain as the wisdom mantra spring of Manjushri Bodhisattva, so they drink from it. It is a blessing to wash your eyes with the spring water. After converting to the Yellow religion and becoming a sutra chanting hall of the Songzanlin Temple, the Buddha statues of various Tibetan Buddhism sects are enshrined and guarded by two monks from the Songzanlin Temple every year.
