Introduction to the Ancient City Gate of Zagreb: The Ancient City Gate of Zagreb was first built in the Roman era, and its current appearance was built in 1760. This stone gate is the only remaining gate in the old city and is also the entrance to the old city. At the main entrance of the center, a statue of the Virgin and Child is enshrined in the city gate. It is said that in the city gate fire in 1731, this statue of the Virgin was the only one to survive. So later generations thought that the Virgin Mary statue had a spirit, so they built the most unique metal craft door in the area and carefully protected it and enshrined it.
