They depict seven Red Army soldiers who are close together and facing all directions. The postures of the seven soldiers are different. The commander is based on the then army commander Dong Zhentang. There are combatants wielding swords, sick and wounded people who fire grenades and die with the enemy, local people rescuing the Red Army, female health workers rescuing the wounded, and trumpets blowing the charge horn. Soldiers commemorate the West Route Army's persistence in fighting under difficult circumstances.
