Introduction to the stupa: Master Qingding was the hero of the temple’s reconstruction. Master Qingding (1903-1999), whose common name was Zheng Quanshan, was admitted to the Whampoa Military Academy in 1926. From 1933 to 1940, he successively served as the training director of the Military Transportation Research Institute of the Nanjing Military Commission, the director of the head office of the China Renaissance Society, the secretary-general of the Shanghai Police Department and the secretary of the Shanghai branch of the China Renaissance Society, and the training director of the Party, Government and Army Training Group of the Fourth Theater , Director of the Training Division and Director of the Political Department of the Central Training Corps, awarded the rank of Major General. In April 1941, he became a monk at Ciyun Temple in Shizishan, Chongqing. In 1985, he became the abbot of Zhaojue Temple and reorganized the temple. He dedicated his whole life to the revival of Zhaojue Temple and made outstanding contributions to the Buddhist community in Sichuan.
