Introduction to Tan Junpei Mansion: Tan Mansion is located at the southern end of Bei'an Fucheng. It is the earliest celebrity mansion built in Zhenyuan. Tan Mansion is a rectangular courtyard building with a high wind and fire wall facing north and south. It is about 10 meters high, 30 meters wide and 45 meters deep. The main entrance is a narrow stone library door with beveled corners and a half-walled corner gatehouse above the lintel. According to historical records, Tan Mansion is also known as "Maoming Hall" and "Zhongji Di". The owner Tan Junpei is from Zhenyuan, whose ancestral home is Maoming, Guangdong. He passed the Jinshi examination in the first year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1862 AD), and served in Changzhou during the Guangxu period. , the prefect of Suzhou, served three times as governor of Jiangsu, twice as governor of water transportation, and served as minister of treaty exchange with Brazil. He was later transferred to governor of Hubei and Yunnan, and concurrently served as governor of Yunnan and Guizhou twice. Tan Junpei was an honest official, diligent and caring for the people throughout his life, with outstanding achievements and excellent reputation. In order to repay the kindness of his hometown, he generously donated 5,000 taels of silver to establish the "Zhenyuan Junpei Library", which became one of the earliest libraries in Guizhou.
