Introduction to Xianshi Company: Ma Yingbiao (1864-1944), born in Huancheng, Xiangshan, is the founder of Xianshi Company and a pioneer in the national department store industry. Before 1881, he went to Australia to make a living. After becoming rich in business, he returned to Hong Kong and founded a department store. He took the word "giving is more beneficial than receiving" and the word "giving first" in English (SINCERE), which also means honesty, with the same pronunciation. Therefore, it is called "give first". Hong Kong Xianshi Company is the first modern department store founded by Chinese businessmen in my country. In 1917, Shanghai Xianshi Company, Shanghai's first large-scale national capital department store enterprise, was founded on Nanjing Road, Shanghai. Xianshi Company managed global goods, pioneered commodity pricing and the establishment of female salespersons, and pioneered a new trend in modern Chinese business.
