Introduction to the Yangtandun Site: The Ma'ao Ancient Cultural Site Group is the largest, most complete, and richest primitive village site discovered so far in the Zhoushan Islands. The Ma'ao Mound Culture belongs to the Hemudu Culture branch. The pottery pots unearthed from the mound have traces of rice from 6,000 years ago. According to expert research, this is evidence of the ancient Vietnamese "Rice Soup Culture" who traveled east to Japan. The Yangtandun site is a Neolithic age site with a cultural layer about 1.4 meters thick and an area of ​​2,400 square meters. The unearthed cultural relics include bean handles, pottery spinning wheels, stone adzes, braised earth blocks and adobes, etc. The pottery is sandy red pottery and muddy red and gray pottery; the decorations are mainly plain, with a few decorated with rope patterns and scratches. The stone tools are all Milled throughout. The Yangtandun site is of high value for studying the production conditions and living customs of Zhoushan ancestors.
