Introduction to the stone archway: The three words "Gongyuan" are engraved on the banner, which means "having fun with everyone". It was written by Tang Gong when he opened his private garden to ordinary people. On both sides of the stone pillars are couplets written by Wang Jingwei when he was invited to visit the garden. The first couplet says: "A hundred years will bring people and ten years a tree." The second couplet says: "The wise will enjoy the water and the benevolent will enjoy the mountains." It is worth pondering.
