Introduction to the East and West Verandas: The East and West Verandas are located on the east and west sides in front of the Yasheng Temple. They are symmetrical buildings and were first built in 1121. The two remaining verandas were built in the Qing Dynasty and were repaired many times after the founding of the People's Republic of China. The two verandas each have 7 couplets, with a height of 7.8 meters, a depth of 8.35 meters, and a width of 25.28 meters. The two verandas are places dedicated to Mencius's disciples and scholars of all ages who have studied and contributed to Mencius' theory.
