Introduction to the ancient temple: According to legend, in ancient times, there was a master and two disciples who lived in seclusion in Qiyun Temple. The younger disciple Huineng was kind-hearted and devoted to the Buddha. One day, there was no food in the temple, and the master wanted to take his elder brother out to beg alms. Huineng asked the master: "What shall I eat after you leave?" The master said angrily: "Burn the thighs and boil the stones." After the two left, Huineng followed the instructions. The teacher ordered to set up the pot, add well water, put the thighs in the fire and ignite them with firewood until the water in the pot boiled, but the thighs were safe and sound. The aroma of rice wafted out of the pot, and the stones were as soft and delicious as steamed buns. The master tasted it if he didn't believe it, but lost two of his teeth. He was so angry that he chased Hui Neng to the top of the central platform. Hui Neng escaped to the top of the platform and saw a lotus floating slowly in the distance, so he jumped off the cliff and took advantage of it, leaving his shoes. One pair. Later generations called the central platform the "Sacrifice Platform" and built a temple to worship it.
