If the sunset is beautiful, then the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen must be over Fuxian Lake, because the sunset over Fuxian Lake is colorful, as if it were a gift from heaven. Fuxian Lake is the most comfortable lake I have ever seen in Yunnan. I use three words to describe it: freedom, quietness, and simplicity.

However, this evaluation is still based on four or five years ago. I haven’t been there for so many years, so I don’t know if it has changed. I really want to go and see it again if I have the chance.

How to get to Fuxian Lake?

1. Buy a bus from Kunming to Chengjiang, which takes about 2 hours.

2. When you arrive in Chengjiang, take a bus or take a taxi to Fuxian Lake

Where to stay in Fuxian Lake?

Four or five years ago, when I went there, there was a building opposite Moon Bay Wetland, which was basically a B&B. They all have stores on Ctrip, so it’s easy to book.

What to do in Fuxian Lake?

In fact, just walk along the lake. I think the so-called scenic spots are not as comfortable as walking around the lake. Wear slippers because there is a lot of walking in water.

Honest breakfast shop

I remember the last time I went there was many years ago. I took a small bus and a small motorcycle to reach the town. There were no people in the town at that time, and the local villagers were very simple. It was already afternoon when we arrived in town, so we went out to find something to eat. I happened to see a small shop on the side of the road, and I ran in. It turned out to be a breakfast shop, owned by an older lady, and it was about to close. I said I just got here and I was so hungry. Without saying a word, the eldest sister started cooking rice noodles for me and fried me a portion of potatoes and tofu. The eldest sister asked me to add more, but I said I couldn’t eat it. The eldest sister said generously, "If you can't eat it, take it back and use it as a midnight snack. The potatoes I made are delicious even after they are cold." Oh my god, my belly was about to burst at that moment. It is no exaggeration to say that my lips and teeth will be fragrant, the rice noodles are so delicious...

Moon Bay Wetland Park

We were staying in a hotel at the time, and the hotel gave us tickets to the Wetland Park. In fact, the lake here is not very clean and not as clear as other lakes along the coast, but there is a colorful stone beach. Lying on the colorful stones, it is still very beautiful to take pictures. (I don’t know if it still exists now, after all, I went there four or five years ago.

Freedom and unrestrainedness by the lake

After eating, I took the packed snacks and walked aimlessly along the river alone. I saw three little boys swimming and playing in the lake. I found a big rock and sat down, watching them in a daze. After swimming, the three boys washed their clothes, each grabbed one end, wrung out the clothes, put them on directly, and went home. Young friendship is so simple and beautiful...

Along the way, I saw an old man in the distance, rowing his boat, holding two small pieces of wood in his hands, dangling, as if he was fishing, right? There is a little beauty by the lake, her legs are soaked in the water, and she is singing loudly with her mobile phone. She must be live broadcasting, right? There are also couples showing affection by the lake, old men in a daze, photographers capturing beautiful scenery, and parents teaching their children to swim...
