I went to the Lion City of Singapore 3 years ago. Although it was only 4 days, it was very fulfilling and I visited all the places to visit.
Feeling the modern or simple scenery of this small garden country, its multi-ethnic integration and multi-cultural characteristics also make people experience a rich experience.
Traveling here is like traveling through several countries.
My previous travel notes were written using ppt. Now I have compiled them into articles. I hope they will be useful~
·Write in front·
Singapore is small in size and has very developed transportation, so traveling is very convenient and the time schedule can be very compact. There are also many flights. A total of 4-5 days is enough. You can find a short vacation, or a weekend + two or three days of annual leave to travel.
* Visa: A few days ago, there was a Sesame Credit Express Visa. The materials are very simple and the visa is issued quickly. It seems that it is no longer available now, so you can only apply for it through a travel agency, but the required materials should be fine, and there is generally no problem in issuing a visa.
* Air tickets/hotels: If you go to and from Wuhan, you usually need to transfer, and the price is about 2k. It is still recommended that the hotel be arranged near a subway station, which will be very convenient for travel. I was staying at Hotel Boss, which was very close to the subway and very cost-effective. There was a restaurant/convenience store downstairs. The hotel also has an outdoor swimming pool, and you can see the Ferris wheel in the distance while playing in the water.
* Tickets: Gardens by the Bay's two conservatories, aerial walkway , plus Universal Studios , tickets can be booked via tb, and the price is cheaper than on site. But please pay attention to the usage time . Some must be booked in advance, and some can support the same day.
* APP: With or google map in hand, you can travel freely without worries. I used to download a subway transfer app called Singapore-ing, but now I think it might be more convenient to use Google Maps directly.
* Transportation card: There are three types of transportation cards in Singapore, standard card, EZ-Link, and tourist card. The standard card can be recharged 6 times, and if it is used, it must be returned and re-purchased. EZ-link is just like a general public bus card in China. You can swipe it as you like, but the SGD 5 deposit is non-refundable. Visitor Card is SGD 8 per day, as many times as you like. You can decide which one is more cost-effective according to your own schedule (I use EZ-link).

·DAY 1· Feel the European style in Singapore
Colonial Quarter / National Museum / Merlion Park / Clarke Quay
Singapore has been colonized by the British for a long time, and there are many British-style buildings left in the old colonial area. So the first stop was to get off at city hall subway station and check in to Praise Square. There is a pure white church here, which is very beautiful for taking pictures, and you can also visit it inside. The square has been transformed into a high-end literary and artistic restaurant, and weddings can also be held.
After a short walk, you can reach St. Andrew's Church , which is still pure white. This church is still in use, and many people come to pray. Continue walking to Raffles Hotel , which has a long history and many celebrities have stayed there. Even if you don’t live here or spend money, you can still visit and take photos. The above are the buildings that you can visit in the colonial area, and you can reach them all on foot.
National Museum of Singapore: The museum is not big, but when traveling to a country, I think you must visit the museum to learn about the history, development, and humanities. The 50rmb ticket is not very expensive, and it took me 3 hours to walk around carefully (the instructions in the museum are in English, but it seems that you can rent a Chinese guide, which may require an additional fee). After the tour, I have a good understanding of the overall history of Singapore. After getting a general understanding, is very worthwhile and rewarding~
Along the way, you can visit the Old Courthouse, the Parliament Building, the Chinese Museum, the Philatelic Museum, the Central Fire Station and so on. They are all old buildings full of European style. At four or five in the afternoon, you can continue to the Merlion Park, to check in the iconic water-spouting lion and the Sands Hotel that was blown up in the Conan movie ~
As night falls, stroll from Merlion Park to Clarke Quay. There are many bars here. Tourists are sitting outside clinking glasses and chatting, accompanied by soft music, which is particularly enjoyable. I made a reservation in advance at Singapore's famous "Jumbo Seafood ", sat at an outdoor seat with a small breeze blowing, facing the pier, and had a seafood feast for 800rmb. I felt shivering when I first came to work. I ordered the king crab, it was really big...
·DAY 2· A day of fun and screaming!
Universal Studios / Siloso Beach / vivo city
Today is a day reserved for Universal Studios! ! ! I took the subway early and got off at Bayfront Station. I could choose to walk to Sentosa Island, or take the express train (you need to pay an additional SGD 4 to get to the island by car). Of course I walked! In fact, it’s only 10 minutes away. You can also enjoy the scenery and take photos along the way. After walking into the island, actually taking the train out or taking a bus within the island is free! Fee! Only fools pay extra to enter the island
There are many guides online about how to avoid queuing at Universal Studios. In fact, there are basically no queues during the off-season. You can also choose a single channel or something. During the peak season, you can add money to buy an express ticket . In addition to various amusement facilities, the theater performances are also very interesting, especially the Lost Water World (I don’t know if it has been updated now). I found the roller coaster to be particularly scary...the pigs were squealing the whole way.
There are many restaurants in the park, and another tip is you can leave the park to eat at the Malaysian Food City at the entrance at noon! As long as you put a stamp on your hand, you can go in and play again after eating. The prices at Malaysian Food City are much cheaper and there are many choices. Universal Park will close at 6pm, so it is recommended to play the project first. After finishing it, you can take pictures in the area at the entrance, and then see if there are any projects you want to play again, so make good use of your time~
After coming out, the sun is about to set. You can take the express train for two stops to Siloso Beach. There are some outdoor cafes here. You can enjoy the sea breeze and drink coffee while waiting for the sunset to calm down the excitement of having just finished traveling around the world. . After leaving the island, there is Vivocity, a relatively large shopping mall where you can go shopping and eat.
·DAY 3· Ah! Is this the city of the future?
Gardens by the Bay / Chinatown / Orchard Road
Just get off the subway at Bayfront. Marina Bay Park is a very large area, and also a green and sustainable garden. Including several iconic super trees (which absorb solar energy during the day and provide power to the park at night), the plants in the park can be reprocessed into energy after decay, as well as a seawater purification system and so on. These specific sustainable systems will be demonstrated in the +5 degree exhibition hall in the park.
+5 degree means that the subway problem increases by 5 degrees. In front of nature, human beings are actually very small. Global warming brings about biological extinction, volcanic eruptions, seawater flooding of cities, etc. In the end, it is us who bear all this . Maybe the earth will still spin the same after the big reshuffle, but human beings may disappear forever.
Gardens by the Bay has two pavilions and one must-visit! They are skywalk, Cloud Forest and Flower Dome two cold room pavilions. There are consecutive tickets on tb. The cold room looked like a future city, with all kinds of plants, we walked through it, it was worth seeing and shocking. Remember to wear a coat, It’s too air-conditioned inside...
Come out of Gardens by the Bay and go directly to maxwell Food Center near Chinatown. Their cooked food center is a bit like our gourmet food center, with a wide variety of dazzling varieties and relatively cheap prices. Here I am especially amwayHainanese chicken rice and my wife’s bean curd, delicious to tears.
Chinatown in English is Chinatown, a Chinese-American gathering area. The restaurants also sell hot pot, Sichuan and Cantonese cuisine, and there are many small commodities for sale. However, I don’t recommend eating or shopping here, it’s a bit awkward~But the buildings here are colorful and beautiful, and there are many lanterns. There are also several temples with very special architecture that are worth seeing.
At five or six o'clock, you can set off to Orchard Road. This is a shopping mecca where all kinds of trendy brands and luxury goods gather. Just out of the subway is Orchard Road ION (5 floors above ground, 4 floors underground, all you can shop) The above ground is basically a luxury jewelry area, and the underground is an affordable area , various fast fashion, MUJI, Daiso, and a lot of food!
At 7 or 8 pm, return to Marina Bay Park. Nice Atmosphere's Super Tree Light Show will be staged twice at 7:45pm and 8:45pm. It's best to check in advance so as not to miss the time. The lights and music move together again and again. The 15-20 minute light show is quite nice~
·DAY 4· It’s like traveling through time! Experience exotic customs
Kampong Glam / Haji Lane / Little India / Changi Airport
The first three days were a relatively tight itinerary, and the last day was relaxing. Get up at 9 o'clock and wander to the Bugis area near our hotel. Singapore's Muslim gathering area Kampong Glam is located in this area (get off the MRT at Bugis station) . There is no need to navigate at all. When you walk nearby, you will find that the surrounding buildings are slowly changing, and you will pass by a small mosque inadvertently.
The unique houses, pedestrians wearing headscarves, white robes and white hats all remind us that this is the Muslim area, and it is really a time-traveling experience. Nothing like being in Singapore. The first thing that comes into view is a large Islamic church. You can enter and visit . Just take a robe and put it on at the door. There was a person praying in the empty hall, and several children in white robes were playing and running back and forth in the church. At this time, this scene really seemed to be somewhere in the Middle East.
Haji Lane is also nearby. There are many colorful spray paintings on the walls here, which is a good place for girls to take pictures. The lane is not long and narrow, but there are many literary boutiques and coffee shops inside.
There are many Islamic restaurants in Kampong Glam. I ate at a food stall with many locals. The price was cheap and there were many snacks I had never seen before. I couldn’t pronounce the names of the food... I made gestures. Plus you can order food by typing on your phone...it still tastes pretty good!
Little India is not far from Kampong Glam, it can be reached on foot in 15-20 minutes (take the subway to Little India). Along the road we pass through a less affluent part of Singapore. The overall architectural style is very different from that in the CBD, but it is not too dirty. After arriving in Little India, it really felt like I had traveled to India! ! ! Amazing... And, from a distance, I can smell the curry smell all over the street, haha.
The streets are full of Indians, the shops are full of Indian spices, and there are many snacks , If there is an Indian festival, there will be many performances here , it is quite lively. / I have never been to India, but I can actually experience it in Singapore...it is quite amazing /
Changi Airport: If the flight time is ok, you might as well leave some for Changi Airport. It is said that this is one of the best and most comfortable airports in the world. Each terminal is very large, with many brands and a variety of leisure facilities. Massage chairs are all free of charge. Some airlines It supports early check-in (you can even check in 24 hours in advance) and obviously gives you time to browse (and spend money). There are also a lot of delicious food, and they are cheaper than in the city.
Overall expenditure (per capita)
/ I didn’t even bother with food, accommodation or entertainment. After all, I even had a meal of crab worth 800 yuan /
*A total stay of four nights, air tickets + hotel: 3300rmb/person
* Other expenses such as food, drink, entertainment, tickets, visas, etc.: 1900rmb/person
*Total: 5200rmb/person (excluding duty-free shop shopping)
