We will definitely polish our works and give you the best reading experience!

The following is the preface written before the travelogue, and I have made some slight modifications.

This is a travelogue that I wrote a long time ago. Looking back now, there are many things that I am not satisfied with. However, since it has been so long, I cannot make too many deletions. I only edited some parts. Made simple modifications.

Many days after returning from my trip to Australia, I finally started writing this travelogue. Unfortunately, due to some accidents during the trip, this travelogue was postponed for a long time. And for this reason, I can’t remember many details of the trip clearly, which makes this travel diary seem a bit like a rundown. But regardless of other circumstances, this was still a journey that made me happy and impressed me deeply, so I still left such a record.

After flying for more than ten hours, I only slept for more than two hours a night. The person sitting next to me on the same plane was a middle-aged foreign man. Although we didn't communicate much along the way, we must have had a pleasant time getting along. By the way, his daughter is really beautiful, but he sat next to me without any chance of having a more enjoyable trip.

When we arrived at the sky above Australia, the foreigner next to me opened the window. The sunshine outside the window immediately cheered me up. I have to say that Australia looks different from the plane compared to landing.

Australia’s warm winter sunshine

The sky is incredibly blue, and there are a few clouds in the distant sky, which makes the empty sky and the sea level connected to the sky look less empty. The water and sky are the same color. This is probably what I mean.

The process of landing the plane can be said to be a bit exciting. I thought the plane was going to land in the sea, but suddenly a piece of land appeared. When I went through customs, I was very lucky to avoid the declared items inspection with my two packages of dried vegetables. What greeted me at the airport exit was blue sky, white clouds and...Australia's warm sunshine in winter.

Although it is winter in Australia, it does not appear to be very cold. The sun that hangs in the sky for a long time does not make people feel unusually cold. On the contrary, such warm sunshine always makes people have the urge to sunbathe. Although sunbathing does not bring any benefits to people, it does. It may cause skin cancer, but this kind of sunshine still wants people to try and experience it. The friend who came to meet me didn't expect me to pass the security check so quickly. As a result, I had to find the way alone. Using my half-baked English, I struggled to find the location of the train station, and met my friends who were rushing over.

I took the train to Central and saw that I had spent 20 knives (the exchange rate was about one to five, which is more than 100 RMB). I was shocked by the decadence of capitalism! Later, my friend told me that the section from the airport to Central is particularly expensive, and he didn’t know why. There is a small park at the entrance of the Central station. It is the type of park I particularly like: the lazy sunshine finds its way onto the slightly undulating lawn, and one or two people sit on the park benches, either closing their eyes and contemplating or chatting softly. People, a few young couples were walking there, and a few old people were walking slowly on crutches. There were one or two families having a picnic on the lawn, and various birds were pecking at the ground.

Quiet and leisurely, seems to be the main theme of the city of Sydney

It didn’t take long after I left the park to realize that I had misinterpreted the city’s melody. Probably that park is one of Sydney's rare places of tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle. The main theme of Sydney should be noisy and chaotic: all kinds of people from all over the world gather together, people of different skin colors meet with each other on the bustling streets, and use various languages to stack the noise to a high level. After a few days of traveling, I know that there are still quiet places in Sydney, such as the small park in Central or the park along the river next to the Opera House. It is a place of tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle, which also gives this noisy city a unique charm of tranquility.

Australia's beautiful scenery

After getting off the plane, I just stopped briefly in Sydney. My friend took me to take a look at Chinatown. I have to say that Chinatown is indeed the most uncharacteristic attraction I have ever seen in Australia. Most of the people who go to eat in Chinatown are foreign friends, but not many people visit and shop because there really isn’t much to see. On the contrary, the Market opposite is very lively. When I went shopping on the last day, I did buy a lot of interesting souvenirs there. I spent more than 10 yuan on the meal. I asked for a bowl of egg fried rice and it turned out to be a big bowl. I couldn't finish it all by myself. After all, it cost nearly 80 yuan for a meal. It was a good value for money. Worth it. In fact, in Australia, eating out is indeed relatively expensive. Unlike Chinese restaurants, the more people eat, the faster you make money. Moreover, the salary of foreign waiters is also a large expense for restaurants.

After some searching and waiting in the afternoon, I got on the bus alone and headed to Canberra to meet Zozo (thank you very much Zozo for the kindly provided photo). I have to say that the sleeping experience on the bus is much better than that on the plane. I slept all the way to Canberra without seeing the scenery along the way. After all, I was very tired after only sleeping for two hours on the plane.

It was already night after I slept in Canberra. I found someone who blended in perfectly with the night. I visited the super luxurious dormitory (of course the dormitory fee is also very expensive. Her accommodation fee for a week was probably what we spent for a semester). (Fei), and then was treated to a dark meal. Fortunately, I was very full at noon, which failed to live up to the chef's wishes.

Tired from the journey, I rested for a while after eating.

During my trip to Australia, I mainly visited two cities - Canberra and Sydney.

Canberra

Canberra

As I said before, my impression of Sydney is noisy and chaotic. If you want to find a comparison for the noisy city of Sydney, then Canberra is perfect.

Canberra is a very quiet city, and its slow-paced lifestyle makes people feel at ease, but it is not a city suitable for hard work. Yes, this city is great for retirement.

When Sydney and Melbourne competed for the capital of Australia, the result was Canberra, the capital between the two cities. A small village turned into a capital city. Even after so many years, it still looks like an urban-rural fringe.

Canberra is very quiet. Although I only visited for two days, I felt almost no sounds that bothered me during these two days. In the past, these sounds were always there: either a car horn in the middle of the night, or decorations that lasted all day. The sound, or the loud conversations of people in the originally quiet park... Perhaps because of Australia's vast land and sparse population, Canberra is particularly quiet. Even in a scenic spot like Parliament, it seems very quiet.

"Mangroves, green mountains, blue sky

It’s hard to talk about leisurelyness.”

Unlike Sydney's hilly terrain, Canberra's terrain is flat and suitable for cycling. If you choose to ride a bicycle in Sydney, it must be a very bad experience. The ups and downs of the terrain can drive people crazy. It is more convenient to spend some money to take the bus than to be exhausted. But Canberra is different. The flat terrain and small population make traveling by bicycle extremely convenient here.

Thinking about it, if you have nothing to do for an afternoon, you can ride a bicycle around and bask in the warm winter sun, which is very comfortable. This kind of cycling experience should be hard to find in China. Not to mention the overwhelming smog in winter, the cars and pedestrians filling the streets alone give cyclists a headache, and the bone-chilling wind in winter can freeze hands even in the daytime. Like in Canberra, there is silence everywhere, accompanied by birds that can be seen everywhere, and you can breathe the fresh air in winter and wander around slowly alone under the warm sunshine. Such days are so beautiful to think about!

After a day of experiencing the life of an Australian college student (crossed out), I visited many inexplicable museums and experienced the quiet life in Canberra. I couldn't help but envy these days. It's a pity that the trip was in a hurry. After experiencing it, I still just Can return to the original chaos.

In the end, it was a pity that I only stayed in Canberra for two days. I prefer Canberra to Sydney. Although this city is not big, if you have time, spending three or four days walking around in this city will definitely be an excellent experience. It is quiet but reassuring, quiet but not lonely. It has green mountains and clear waters as well as various shopping malls and restaurants. Such a mixed combination does not make people feel awkward but is a different kind of harmony. I really like this city very much.

I feel like I didn’t stay in Canberra for a long time. I came and went in a hurry and didn’t get to fully experience it. Apart from the characteristics of this city, I can’t describe my experience of this visit. After all, I just went to some museums. Although these museums are also full of unique features, unfortunately this happens to be the place I am least good at describing. When I go to the museum, I often just glance at the flowers and fail to see the reason. If there is another opportunity in the future, I will definitely visit Canberra again and arrange to spend a few more days to experience the quiet life in Canberra.
