The hotel we are staying in is called Changbai Mountain Blue View International Ecological Exchange Center. It is located near the north gate of the scenic spot and belongs to the scenic spot. Therefore, the hotel will provide some conveniences to the guests staying in the hotel.

For example, they have so-called VIP channels, which means you can take the shuttle bus without queuing.

During peak tourist season, this is indeed very tempting.

Although the hotel is a scenic spot, it is not arrogant and bullying. When I called to ask about their epidemic policy, the hotel front desk also told me that their hotel had a special price for my room type today and asked me to cancel the high-priced room I had booked. Reorder.

Later, even though I would not be able to get the nucleic acid report for a while, I was allowed to check in, which made me very touched.

Hotels in scenic spots have such services, which should be said to be quite good.

In the morning, we had breakfast, met the tour guide we booked last night, and then went outside the hotel to wait for the bus.

Soon, the bus came, and we took the bus to the scenic spot, and then transferred to the shuttle bus to Tianchi.

Although there is no need to queue for the VIP channel, there were not many people entering the scenic spot today and there was no queue at all, so the value of the VIP was compromised.

However, there are not many people, so you don’t have to crowd around the scenic spots, and you don’t have to fight to avoid the crowds when taking photos, which is of course a good thing.

Changbai Mountain Tianchi North Scenic Area is quite large and has many scenic spots. Let’s talk about them one by one, with less words and more pictures.

In the morning, by the pond outside the hotel restaurant, the black swan has already woken up

Changbai Mountain Tianchi

Let’s first take a look at how Du Niang introduced Changbai Mountain Tianchi.

Changbai Mountain Tianchi, also known as Baitou Mountain Tianchi, is located in the Changbai Mountain Nature Reserve in the southeast of Jilin Province. It is the boundary lake between China and North Korea. Tianchi is about 4,400 meters long from north to south and 3,370 meters wide from east to west. The altitude of the pool is 2,189.1 meters, the deepest point is 373 meters, and the average is 204 meters. The water surface area is 9.82 square kilometers and the circumference is 13.1 kilometers. According to "Changbai Mountain Jianggang Zhilue": "Tianchi is located at the center of the Changbai Mountain, surrounded by peaks, about 20 miles above the ground, so it is named Tianchi."

Tianchi in Changbai Mountain is the most complete Cenozoic multi-genesis composite volcano in China. Tianchi erupted frequently after the Song Dynasty. Starting in the 34th year of Guangxu’s reign in the Qing Dynasty (1908), Liu Jianfeng climbed Baiyun Mountain and named the sixteen peaks of Tianchi. , and it was discovered that this is the source of the Yalu, Songhua and Tumen rivers. The crater walls around Tianchi are steep, and more than a dozen peaks are formed, standing around the lake, all with an altitude of more than 2,500 meters.

This is the shuttle bus parking lot. From here, you can climb one or two hundred steps to reach Tianchi.

While climbing the steps and looking to the right, you can see the magnificent valley landscape. At this time, there is a lot of fog on the mountain (I guess the valley here is where the Changbai Mountain Waterfall is)

A girl walking in front of me said that it was her third time to Tianchi. The first two times it was either foggy or foggy, and she hoped to see it today. Her words made me a little worried, but when I climbed up the steps, a huge and deep blue lake suddenly appeared in front of me, which was a bit overjoyed.

More than half of Tianchi belongs to North Korea. The North Koreans have built facilities on the south bank. I don’t know what they are for.

Along the trail from west to east, slowly, the clouds and mist chased me

Take a closer look at this deep and breathtaking blue

This should be the middle part of the trail. In short, you can see Tianchi from all angles while walking and don’t want to see anything else.

The trail along Tianchi is about 100 meters. This section can be called the western section. After that, you need to go down the mountain for a while, and then go to the eastern section, which is also about 100 meters.

View of Tianchi from the east section

The peaks around the lake are all formed by volcanic eruptions, with heavy traces of sulfur.

Continue to see enough of Tianchi

This deep blue color is comparable to that of Yamdrok Yongtso in Tibet.

The word "Tianchi" inscribed by Grandpa Xiaoping is located in the eastern section

I'll take a photo too

Slowly, the thick fog filled the air, and we were already satisfied. I posted it on a circle of friends, and accidentally attracted the envy, jealousy, and hatred of many people. It turns out that Tianchi is not easy to see, and many people have not been able to see its beauty, leaving a lot of regrets. It seems that I am not good at seeing mountains, but I am very good at seeing water, hahahaha

Satisfied, I walked down the mountain.

Changbai Mountain Waterfall

If you want to rank the many scenic spots in the North Scenic Area, Tianchi ranks first, and the Changbai Mountain Waterfall can undoubtedly rank second.

Changbai Waterfall is located in the north of Tianchi Lake. There are sixteen strange peaks around Changbai Waterfall. There is a gap on the north side, called U-shaped gate (called Xiaomen in ancient times). Tianchi water flows down from it. Due to the high mountain and steep slope, the water is turbulent. At a glance, it looks like A slanting ladder is called "Tongtian River" or "Chengcha River". The Chengcha River spurts out from the mountain pass and falls straight down, forming a 68-meter-high waterfall - Changbai Waterfall. Changbai Falls is the source of Songhua River and the largest waterfall in Northeast my country.

There is a huge stone called "Cowherd Ferry" at the entrance of the waterfall, which divides the waterfall into two parts. Changbai Waterfall has thousands of water droplets flying down from the cliff, and the water spray sprays vertically and horizontally in an instant, which is very spectacular.

In addition, Changbai Falls is also the only outflow channel for Tianchi water.

Take the shuttle bus to the entrance of the attraction, and then you need to climb a short hill. This is a valley with peaks on both sides. The water of Changbai Falls rushes down from the middle of the valley.

The mountain should also be made of volcanoes, but there are not many traces of sulfur.

Just keep going straight along the trail

There are two small rivers here. The larger one on the right is the water of Tianchi, and the smaller one on the left is water gushing from hot springs. The hot spring with the highest temperature is as high as 83 degrees, which can cook eggs. Of course, the water source should be Tianchi

The flat land by the river is the path taken by sleighs after the mountains are closed by heavy snow in winter.

This is the hot spring area. The ground is full of large and small hot springs. Standing here, a small head of the waterfall in the distance has been exposed.

There are many springs here, and the air is filled with the smell of sulfur. There is also a small shop next to it that sells hot spring eggs for 2 yuan each. It is worth a try

It's not far from the waterfall.

Rabbits that walk upright

This is the source of the Songhua River. Compared with the Songhua River we saw when we were intercepted on the road a few days ago, it is simply unimaginable.

When encountering a creek, you need to "taming" it as usual

Climbing up a very steep step further, you can see the waterfall, but before climbing up, it is also good to look back in the distance. In the distance, a statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva is looking into the distance.

This is the waterfall. Many people will go to the front.

Our tour guide took us a little to the left and said that the location here is also good and there is no one there yet.

There is a plank road beside the waterfall. The tour guide said that the earliest plank road was built by the ancients. More than ten years ago, people could still walk along the plank road to the edge of Tianchi Lake. Later, a landslide occurred on the plank road, and for environmental protection, the plank road has been completely destroyed. Closed, hey, what a pity

When you see water, you must soften it. Unfortunately, I don’t have a light-reducing filter, so I have to make do with it.

Come on, let's take a photo too

green pond

Du Niang said that Green Yuantan is not far from Changbai Waterfall. It is named after the shadow of Yue birch and the deep green water of the pond. Green Yuantan Waterfall flows straight down, with the highest drop reaching 26 meters. The water falls on the boulders and splashes in all directions, and then flows into the deep pool. Whenever the fog rises, the water mist on the pond is filled with water, which is integrated with the birch trees and ancient boulders in the mountains. It is so beautiful that it is like a fairyland on earth.

In fact, I don’t know about this scenic spot. I just thought that I would be satisfied after seeing Tianchi and the waterfall. But since I have a local tour guide with me and have plenty of time to see it, I will follow her to have a look.

There is Sangua Waterfall in Luyuantan. The water from the waterfall flows into a small green pond. There are colorful koi carp in the pond. It can also be regarded as an attraction.

Do a softening job as usual

Unknown flowers bloom on the grass beside the pond

The tour guide said that there were wild strawberries growing on the grass. As soon as he heard that there were wild strawberries, the boy immediately jumped in and started digging through them. Finally, he picked two or three green and red strawberries. After tasting them, his nose and eyebrows suddenly came together.

underground forest

After visiting Green Pool, the tour guide said he would take us to see the underground forest, where the air is rich in negative ions.

The underground forest, also known as the "valley forest", is the lowest altitude scenic spot in the North Scenic Area of Changbai Mountain, about 14 kilometers away from the Xinshan Gate of the North Scenic Area. It is a valley forest with a valley wall as high as 70 meters and a valley bottom of 2,500-3,000 meters long. There are a variety of lush plants growing on both sides of the boardwalk; tall pine trees block out the sky and the sun, and thick moss covers the tree trunks; when you walk along the boardwalk to 1,000 meters, walk left for 350 meters to see the Dongtian Waterfall, and go right 500 meters to reach the forest at the bottom of the valley.

There are towering ancient trees at the bottom of the valley. The trees are divided into three layers and huge rocks are scattered here and there. The trees above and below the cliff seem to be connected together, and you feel like you are submerged in a sea of green. The underground forest has a very high negative oxygen ion content and is called a "natural oxygen bar". It can be described as a "happy forest and leisure oxygen bar".

The tour guide knew that we had to rush in the afternoon, so he told us to walk 500 meters and then return to let you feel it.

The tour guide said that the trail in the underground forest is nearly 10 kilometers round trip. Obviously, there is no need for us to go to the end.

The trail is lined with tall pine trees

The tour guide said that there was an insect plague in this forest more than ten years ago, and almost all the trees in the forest died. The ones we see now are all reborn later.

There are still dead pine trees on the roadside, and the holes in the trunks were made by woodpeckers.

Rosin, commonly known as "Abing's treasure"

Flying over Changbai Mountain

After visiting here, our mission in Tianchi Scenic Area is over.

The tour guide recommended that we go to Erdaobaihe Town to watch the 4D short movie "Flying Over Changbai Mountain", saying that we could see the panoramic view of the sixteen peaks of Changbai Mountain and Tianchi. Moreover, she said that due to the recent epidemic, there are fewer people, so she can help us get discount tickets.

Having said that, it would be wrong for us not to look at it.

So we returned to the hotel, checked out quickly, and then took the tour guide to Erdaobaihe Town.

I first went to the hospital to get the nucleic acid report, took photos and sent them to the hotel last night, and then came to the cinema.

As expected, there was not a single customer in the theater, so we were able to quickly enter and take in the panoramic view of Changbai Mountain.

how do you feel?

Not bad, it’s a different perspective.

After watching the movie, we asked the tour guide to recommend a restaurant that specializes in local fish. We planned to go there for lunch and dinner. Although we ate hand cakes at the scenic spot at noon, we didn’t care at all. At 3:30 in the afternoon, we were already howling with hunger.

The tour guide said, don't worry, the hotel is very authentic and does not rip off guests.

If you still have time after dinner, you can go see the Beauty Pine, not far from the restaurant. she says.

After sending us to the hotel, the tour guide said goodbye to us, and we ordered two different kinds of fish and ate them to our heart's content.

It is said that this is a local fish, but it does not look funny at all.

beauty pine

After dinner, before 4 o'clock, we planned to go see the Beauty Pine.

To be honest, this is the first time I have heard of a tree species with such a name. So, while I was eating, I asked Du Niang about the situation.

Du Niang said that Changbai Mountain Beauty Pine, whose scientific name is Changbai Pine, grows in Erdaobai River in Changbai Mountain. It is named because it looks like a beautiful woman. It is a unique and beautiful natural landscape in Changbai Mountain. "Beauty Pine" is known as the "No. 1 Wonderful Pine" in Changbai Mountain: she is beautiful, tall and graceful, like tall and graceful Changbai beauties with heavy makeup, waving to welcome tourists from afar. Just like the "Welcome Pine" in Huangshan Mountain, the Beauty Pine has become a representative landscape of Baishan Mountain.

Du Niang also said that the scenic spot is located in the town, and there are more than a thousand beauty pines and 352 ancient pines that are more than a hundred years old. The garden has a 1,500-meter-long corridor paved with unique cobblestones from Changbai Mountain, a simple thatched pavilion, the gentle breeze and the chirping of birds, and patches of blooming mountain flowers. When walking in the garden, you can look up at the free and easy style of the beauty pine.

Finally, she said, the scenic spot is completely free. My lord, please go quickly.

OK!

This is the Beauty Pine Scenic Area, which is actually a park.

Those who came here to set up tents must be local residents.

I walked around the pine forest for a long time, but I didn't see any big difference between this beauty pine and other pine trees.

Little fat friends don’t care, picking pine nuts is their favorite

*************************************

At 4:40 pm, it was getting late. We left Meirensong Park, left Erdaobaihe Town, and drove to the Pullman Hotel in Fusong County.

Originally, my plan was to stay at the Swissotel Luneng Resort outside the Tianchi West Scenic Area in Changbai Mountain that night, so that I could spend half a day visiting the West Scenic Area the next day, and then head to Ji'an along the China-North Korea border along the Yalu River.

Although the journey is far and there is a high probability that we will have to walk at night, it is still very good to be able to stay close to the border and feel "on topic".

For this reason, I booked a hotel in Luneng Resort a few days in advance.

However, it is a pity that the hotel in Luneng Resort called yesterday and said that the town requires all local hotels to stop accepting guests, even if there is a nucleic acid report.

This policy is quite extreme!

In desperation, I had no choice but to choose the Pullman Hotel in Fusong. At least I could check in if I had a nucleic acid report.

But in this case, I will definitely not be able to go to Changbai Shanxi Scenic Area. Later I checked the weather forecast and it said it would rain tomorrow, which made me completely give up.

After leaving Erdaobaihe Town, we continued on National Highway 331, and then turned onto "Songtian Road" and soon arrived at the hotel.

The hotel environment is not bad, but of course there are not many guests. It seems that we have booked the hotel, so let's enjoy the night.
