Shaoxing’s cultural landscape is particularly concentrated, so I walked down to Tashan without wasting my legs. I walked to Shen Garden, a typical Jiangnan garden. It looks small in area, but it’s a unique place when you go in. It even hides a Lu You Memorial Hall.
As The Shen family's private garden, which existed since the Southern Song Dynasty, is particularly exquisite. It is divided into the historic area, the East Garden and the South Garden. There are many waterscapes and flourishing ancient trees in the garden. It is the autumn season, and the red and yellow branches and leaves are reflected in the pool, which is quite beautiful. Lu You visited it several times and wrote "The dream is broken and the fragrance is gone for forty years, the willows in Shen Garden are old and do not blow cotton", which greatly increased its fame. It has become a provincial cultural relic protection unit and a national cultural relic protection unit together with Lu Xun's hometown. 5A Level tourist attraction.
The great poet Lu You was also from Shaoxing. I only learned about this during my visit. He was a prolific writer and a leader in the poetry world of the Southern Song Dynasty. His surviving poems include 9000 Yu Shi, known as the Little Li Bai, was particularly noted for his tireless writing throughout his life and his patriotic enthusiasm in resisting the Jin army, which was beyond the reach of poets of his generation. At the end of his life, he still wrote the famous line "When the king's army conquers the Central Plains in the north, don't forget to tell your father during the family sacrifice."
The Lu You Memorial Hall is located in Nanyuan of Shen Garden. It briefly introduces Lu You's life and preserves some of Lu You's manuscripts and poems. The content is not very much, so you can only skim it briefly. In Keqiao, there is Lu You's former residence, which may be introduced more carefully, but I don't have time to visit it this time. I hope it will be next time.
In the whole of Shaoxing, the most famous person is the man named Zhou Shu. Mr. Lu Xun was born and raised here, and wrote many poetic words to praise this place. Now it has become an old street with a profound commercial atmosphere, called "Lu Xun's Hometown". I had been here twenty years ago, and I walked this street hastily with Guangming. In my memory, the street was very narrow, and I didn’t have much impression. However, the bowl of rice wine from Xianheng Hotel is still lingering on the tip of my tongue.
Lu Xun's hometown consists of several scenic spots. In addition to the most famous Sanwei Bookstore, there are also the Zhou family's former residence, the Herb Garden, which is quite mysterious in primary school textbooks, and the Xianheng Hotel where Mr. Kong begged for fennel beans. I went along the way to Lu Xun’s ancestral residence, Lu Xun’s former residence, Sanwei Bookstore and Lu Xun Memorial Hall. There is not much to say about the old house. The Ming and Qing dynasty architecture, not counting the symmetrical front and rear courtyards, are all the same. Let’s talk about Lu Xun. News Memorial Hall.
The building is a two-story building with black tiles and white walls. From the outside, it looks like a square seal, and it looks like it dates back to the Han Dynasty. On the right side of the main entrance is the "Shaoxing Luxun Memorial Hall" inscribed by Guo Moruo. After the entrance, there is a seated portrait of Mr. Next to it is the handwriting of "With a cold eyebrow and a thousand fingers, he bows his head and is willing to be a bully". A large number of physical cultural relics and photos are displayed in the museum, introducing his family, life experience, and study path until he became a revolutionary. The glorious life of a fighter. The exhibition hall is mainly in light colors such as white, and the roof is a light-transmitting glass window, allowing the sunlight to shine in, giving the entire hall a bright and eye-catching atmosphere. It is solemn, elegant, ordinary and noble, which is very consistent with Mr.’s attitude towards life and is also suitable for the exhibition hall. Deserving of Mr.'s great literary status. It's one of the best personal memorials I've ever been to.
In addition to the former residence of Lu Xun, Shaoxing also has the ancestral residence of Zhou Enlai. I have always felt that the Prime Minister is from Jiangsu. It turns out that my ancestor was also from Shaoxing. It is really talented. Later I also visited the former residence of Cai Yuanpei, but it was under renovation and not open.
I scanned a shared bicycle from Lu Xun’s former residence to Zhou Enlai’s ancestral residence. This is a tile-roofed house facing south with Ming Dynasty architectural style. It has a small courtyard with three entrances and a small patio between the two entrances. The ancestral home is called "Xiyangtang", also known as "Centennial Hall". The Prime Minister's grandfather went to Huai'an from here to become a master. His father is still alive here. Although he has been away for a long time, the Prime Minister is indeed a native of Shaoxing. Huai'an people.
The ancestral residence has basically restored its old appearance during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. There are also pictures on the walls to introduce Premier Zhou's life and deeds, but on a smaller scale. On the east side of the ancestral home, a larger two-story building was opened as the Zhou Enlai Memorial Hall, which introduces the life of this highly respected great man with more detailed information. When I was about to leave, a group of children happened to take a group photo in front of the Prime Minister's statue. Every child was blooming with a flower-like smile. It was really "this prosperous world is as you wish", and tears couldn't help but burst out.
I continued to ride my bike aimlessly around Shaoxing. Cai Yuanpei's former residence and the Qianye Guild Hall were both under renovation, and I accidentally rode into the hometown of the Sage of Calligraphy. 12 At the age of 18, he moved to Shaoxing with his family, where he learned calligraphy and became a calligrapher. In the center of the hometown of the calligrapher, a Wang Xizhi exhibition hall was built, which displays some calligraphy works, which are probably not authentic. The wall boards tell some stories about the calligrapher, and some calligraphy works in the back hall are probably works of contemporary people. The entire exhibition hall is very small, and it cannot be compared with Mr. Zhou's.
