: The boss checks out.

: Don’t want to extend your stay? Where are you going to play?

: Let’s take a walk around.

: Periphery? When you come to Lijiang, you should stay in the ancient city, why bother running around?

:🤣

Baisha Ancient Town

Indeed, it is still an ancient town. But this ancient town is relatively remote, relatively small, and has relatively few people.

Baisha Ancient Town is the earliest political, economic and cultural center of Lijiang and the ancient capital of the Naxi people. Although it is small, the backdrop is the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.

There is only one main street, which runs along Sifang Street. The road is not long. But this is the best, quiet and not getting lost.

It is very close to Shuhe Ancient Town, which I like. It can be reached in ten minutes by renting a bicycle. Strolling around the ancient streets and choosing a small shop to sit down, you can stay there all afternoon, which is better than going to Yulong.

I have been to Baisha three times and always stop at "MAO Coffee". The first time I passed by his house, I stopped at the door because of the blue and white doors and windows and the smell of sunshine and beach. And then to see clearly the labels affixed to the doors and windows. What Yunnan Hand Soaring Group, The white sand is the strongest, Children are not allowed to enter. And the last one: Gentlemen please do not take photos. I hesitated at the door for two minutes and then walked away. I'm afraid I can't do it without taking pictures.

But before taking a few steps forward, he turned back and stuffed the camera into his bag.

The space in the cafe is small but the content is very rich. After looking at the whole room all afternoon, I always felt like I was missing something.

The shop was doing very well and was almost full. The only seat left for me was right under the boss's nose. I ordered a cup of the newly developed "Fairy Ice American" which is highly recommended for girls. It has a light aroma of peach blossom wine and peach soda, and has a fresh taste, which is very suitable for girls in summer (who dare not take pictures after drinking).

The boss must be a fool. Before leaving, he asked for an extra cake to be packed. After waiting for about twenty minutes, it still didn't feel better. I told the boss that I didn’t need to worry about packaging and would eat it right away.

Because of the relationship between cats and dogs, I started a conversation with my boss. Later I discovered that the rule about children entering by mistake did not apply to my friends’ children. On the contrary, every time I go there I meet three or two children, and they get candies and ice cream. The so-called ban on photography is just a ban on travel photography and live broadcasting. So I was very happy, took out my camera, and recorded the gentle light in the afternoon.

Before going home, I went to Baisha again. It was already seven o'clock in the evening. I knew that the shop had already been sampled, but I still walked there. Because I never took a photo of its front.

In addition to Western culture, the most fundamental thing here is the pure Naxi customs. And I'm only good at understanding the eating part.

Mixed pot dishes should be regarded as common people's delicacies. I've had it once before, in a small shop on the way.

Tell the boss that a mixed pot costs fifteen or twenty yuan per person. As for what's inside, it depends on what the boss has today. It’s like I’ll make a pot of whatever food is left at home for you. Suitable for those who are confused about ordering.

Baisha's "Naxi pure pot dish" is ten levels of difficulty to find. Next to an alley-like doorway, a small signboard hung. I searched back and forth for more than ten minutes within a radius of twenty meters.

Recommend it because it tastes really good. The pig's feet are crispy and smooth, the vegetables are rich, the water is enough to taste, and the soup is delicious. In addition, the price is too good, 20 yuan per person, a big pot full. Pig's feet, vegetables, tofu, vermicelli, taro, pumpkin, kelp, fungus, peanuts and so on. Eat to be moved and be surprised.

There are also some local side dishes in the store, which look very delicious. But on the day I went, the venue was booked for a birthday party, and the boss couldn’t help, so he didn’t do it. Hey, I can’t even spend some money to be bold.

Yuhu Village

Not far from Baisha, there is also a quiet village, Yuhu Village. The buildings here are special. They are made of stones and look rough.

The village is at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. There is a hiking route here, which goes straight up to the snow-capped mountains. If you are willing to walk, it should be a great (to death) experience 🙂 .

If you walk along the village road towards the snow-capped mountains, you will see a large meadow and Longnu Lake.

Behind you are the snow-capped mountains, in front of you are the jingling of cowbells and the shepherds composing songs. Another great place to relax.

Zhongjihai

Well, it’s not Lashihai, it’s Zhongjihai. A pond, a piece of reeds, and a square where you can fly kites. I didn’t have a kite, so I just sat in the grass in a daze.

Along the lake is an RV campground, which is an idyllic life that is very exciting to look at.

Wenhai

It takes more than an hour to drive from Lijiang city.

After passing Shuhe and Baisha, you can go up the mountain road. Driving along the winding mountain road, you will get there soon, but there is no signal 🙂

Because it is not far from the city, you can also see the panoramic view of Lijiang along the road. From July to September, the roads here are lined with cars picking up matsutake mushrooms. Oops, when I think about the scene of matsutake mushrooms everywhere, it seems like the ground is full of RMB. I also wanted to get out of the car and take a look, but the driver wouldn't let me stop.

Here, every little pond likes to be called "sea". The sea of literature is not big, and has no boundaries. It is like a depression, sunken in the meadow. There are mountains, people's homes, and herds of cattle and horses in the surrounding areas, which makes it feel like a paradise. It’s just that the horses are brought for tourists to ride.

Fortunately, there are not many people. Most people drive here, take some photos and then leave. Of course, there are also extraordinary ones, choosing to face nature, sit on the ground, and sing loudly. 👏

Baoshan Stone Town

This one is further away. Take a minibus from Lijiang Bus Terminal to Baoshan Township, and then walk there. You can also carpool and go directly to the Stone City parking lot, which takes about 3 hours.

The road to Stone City is not easy to walk, it is all winding dirt roads. In this way, you will have a hard-won and extraordinarily beautiful illusion upon arrival.

No la! It's still worth it. Stone City is built on a stone, hence its name. There are cliffs on three sides of the stone, and one side plunges straight into the Jinsha River. It is really shocking when viewed from a distance.

There is a beacon tower on the top of the stone in Stone City, which allows you to take pictures of the entire Baoshan Township. However, this side is not Stone City, it can only be regarded as Baoshan Township. Alas, I can’t show how dangerous this place is even if I take pictures again and again. After all, I still lack a drone and the money to buy it.

The transportation here is inconvenient, so it is easy to be natural and simple. There is not much development in the village, with a few inns and restaurants, but they are basically closed when there are few tourists.

Yila Grassland Napa Sea

In fact, it took us three hours to reach Shangri-La, and there are also interesting things to do around there.

The closest place to Shangri-La City should be Yila Grassland Napa Sea . This is a typical seasonal lake where the grassland and the sea are integrated into one. July is the rainy season, the grasslands are covered by lakes, and there is the sea.

Although there are not many sunny days and there are thick clouds almost every day, fortunately, the highland barley is still green, the rapeseed flowers are in full bloom, and all kinds of wild flowers are also in bloom.

Whether in the lake or among the meadows, there are scenes of herds of cattle and sheep. Usually at this time, I feel a little redundant.

Bigu Tianchi

From Shangri-La to Lijiang, there is a small fork on the side of the national highway. The kind that you will miss if you are not paying attention, that is the intersection to Bigu Tianchi.

After entering the mountain, there is a winding gravel road until you reach the Bigu Ranch halfway up the mountain. The scenery is already very charming.

Going up further, the surrounding area begins to look like a virgin forest. Based on past experience, any beautiful secret place must pass through a primeval forest.

When you see the tranquil waters in the distance, Tianchi has arrived. The lake looked so peaceful, lapping gently on the shore and making some gurgling sounds, like natural breathing.

Alpine rhododendrons grow in clumps by the lake. When they are not blooming, they are dark green and look low-key. But when I think about it after the finished film is released, it’s very dazzling. Have to go again when it's in bloom.

The altitude here is not low, about 3800 meters. I sipped a few sips of wine and accidentally got high 🙂 . You can also have afternoon tea here, the kind of butter tea with highland barley cakes. It costs 30 yuan per person. It is located in a small wooden house by the lake with perfect views.

It seems to be gone and ended in a hasty manner. 🙂
