The National Day holiday lasts for eight days. Days 2-6 will be spent in Vladivostok. Days 7 and 8 should be used on the way back to Changchun. There is only one Lafa Mountain on the way back. It seems like a lot of time. We did some research. , decided to go a little further to Changbai Mountain.

If you take the expressway from Yanji to Changbai Mountain, you have to turn from Dunhua, which is quite far away. We decided not to take the expressway and go directly to Erdaobaihe from the provincial highway via Longjing. Facts have proved that this choice is very correct.

Departing from Yanji at six in the morning, we passed through Longjing and Helong City. There were beautiful mountain roads along the way, passing through many beautiful Korean-style villages, which made people feel comfortable. When you see good scenery on the road, you can stop and take photos at any time.

Autumn colors

Autumn is blooming all over the mountains and plains

Morning song in the mountains.

Mountains upon mountains

shrouded in mist

After driving through Erdaobaihe Town, continue towards Beishanmen.

The Beishanmen parking lot is large, but there are quite a lot of people. We found a spot in a two-story parking lot. Then buy a ticket to enter.

Beishan Gate of the scenic spot.

You need to take two sections of sightseeing buses to go up the mountain in Beijing Scenic Area. The first section is a bus, which goes to the middle parking lot, and then you continue to line up and take a minibus to go up the mountain. The second section is a steep winding mountain road, which is very dangerous, so the vehicles are very dangerous. High-end brand.

Once you reach the northern end of Tianchi Lake, you don’t need to walk far.

Take pictures from the top of the mountain. In fact, the highlight of Changbai Mountain is Tianchi, and other places are really average.

I'm very lucky today, the weather is sunny and not too cold, Tianchi fully reveals its true colors.

The disadvantage of looking at Tianchi from the north slope is that the rocks next to it are rugged and can only be seen through the cracks in the rocks.

Changbai Mountain Tianchi is located at the top of the volcanic cone of the main peak of Changbai Mountain. It is a crater and a volcanic lake formed by accumulated water over a long period of time. Due to the influence of the environment and terrain, Changbai Mountain has abundant precipitation, and the area around Tianchi is the center of precipitation. The weather here is unpredictable. When I came back, it was raining heavily down the mountain, and there was heavy fog next to Tianchi, so I couldn't see anything.

The water surface of Tianchi is 2189.1 meters above sea level. It is slightly oval in shape, 4.4 kilometers long from north to south and 3.37 kilometers wide from east to west. The water collection area is 21.4㎞², the water surface area is 9.82㎞², and the water surface circumference is 13.1 kilometers. The deepest is 373 meters, and the average water depth is 204 meters. The total water storage capacity is 2.04 billion cubic meters. The lake water mainly depends on lake surface precipitation and groundwater recharge.

The lake is blue and clear

as flat as a mirror

In comparison, the surrounding mountain scenery is not surprising.

Opposite is North Korea.

Following Kim Il-sung’s repeated requests to “establish a sacred site for the Korean revolution,” the Chinese and North Korean governments redrawn the border in 1962. The Chinese national boundary was set back 30 kilometers in the Tianchi area, and the Changbai Mountain here was changed from unique to China to a border between China and North Korea. Mountains and Tianchi become boundary lakes. On the map of China in 1957, it can still be clearly seen that Changbai Mountain Tianchi is completely within China.

It seems like there are no monsters in there

There is a radar station on the mountain opposite, and in the distance is the parking lot for passenger cars.

The distance to see Tianchi is longer from the north slope. This is another location.

That white water pipe was built by North Koreans to collect water.

In 1980, it was included in the "Man and the Biosphere" protection network by UNESCO and became one of the world's biosphere reserves. It was approved as a national nature reserve by the State Council in 1986. In 2006, it was among the first batch of national tourist attractions promoted to AAAAA level. Changbai Mountain is one of the top ten famous mountains in China. It is famous for its sacred mountains and holy waters, and is known as the "No. 1 Mountain in Guandong".

Five colors, shimmering waves

It's a pity that I can't see the people on the other side.

Facing Tianchi, people feel that it is pure. Not only is the water surface pure, it also makes people's hearts calm and sublimated.

Then take the minibus back to the transfer area. There are still several directions to browse in the North Scenic Area.

The October water has frozen.

Changbai Waterfall, this water comes from Tianchi.

Close-up, the white on the hillside next to it is snow.

There are also a few small attractions, so you can just walk around. This place sells eggs and corn boiled in natural hot springs. The last time I came here, it rained heavily. I don’t have time to go to the underground forest next to it.

After going down the mountain, we went to Erdaobaihe Town. We booked a hotel with a big boat on the roof in advance online. The facilities were luxurious enough and the price was very normal. It seems that you should come to Changbai Mountain at the end of the holiday. If it is the first three days of the holiday, God, hotel prices are scary.

The night scene in the town is quite unique.

The next morning we set off from Beishanmen and planned to go to Tianchi again from the West Scenic Area. It is about 100 kilometers from the North Scenic Area to the West Scenic Area, and the route is the Huanshan Road in Changbai Mountain. When we drove up, we realized that this road is just beautiful.

There is a viewing platform on the roadside.

The kilometers themselves are scenery. The environment is clean and beautiful, no worse than small towns in the West.

The gate of West Scenic Area.

There is only a section of sightseeing bus in the West Scenic Area, but it takes about an hour. After getting off the bus, there are more than 1,400 steps, which is a bit of a test for one's physical strength.

When we almost reach the top of the mountain and look back, the west side is more beautiful than the northern scenic area.

The West Scenic Area has a more open view of Tianchi and a large viewing platform.

Of course, our luck continues to be good today. The weather is clear and white clouds surround us, and we have an unobstructed view of the mysterious Tianchi.

Surrounded by mountains.

After coming down from the West Scenic Area, several other small scenic spots were not interesting. We basically skipped them and went back to Changchun directly after going down the mountain.

The 11-8 days and itinerary were very satisfying. Except for the unpleasant service in Russia, it was really a worthwhile trip.
