Day 8 Du Fu Thatched Cottage & Sichuan Opera

(Staying at the first Marriott building in Chengdu)

This is my second time in Chengdu. My children are of different ages, so the places I choose to visit are also relatively different.

Let’s talk about the first Marriott first. There are activities for children during the summer. Children were given a secret book and a can of snacks when they checked in. There are many tasks in the cheat book, from the hotel lobby to the room, to the outdoors. If you complete the tasks, you can get a stamp, which can be exchanged for a small gift when you check out.

In the hotel lobby, unlimited coffee, drinks, popcorn, and ice cream are provided every day! Every day when we go back to the hotel, we ask the guy in the lobby to get an ice cream cone!

One more little thing. It rained heavily before we arrived at the hotel. There was water at the entrance of the hotel. The staff not only kept cleaning the water, but also spread floor mats all the way into the lobby. There were also dedicated staff at the door to remind each other. This service is worth it. Like it!

Du Fu Thatched Cottage

Du Fu Thatched Cottage and Huanhua Creek Park are connected as one, "Huanhua River flows to the west, and the owner is Bulintangyou." So Du Fu also left a poem!

The Du Fu Thatched Cottage is quite large, and there is also a small museum and academy. It is very suitable for parents and children to walk around and play.

Watch Sichuan Opera

An indispensable part of Sichuan Opera. The last time I came to Chengdu, I went to the same theater and the repertoire was similar.

Tickets are currently purchased online and can be purchased on various online platforms.

Day 9 Sanxingdui & Kuanzhai Alley

The party that the children are most looking forward to is here. Of course, before going here, you must have a good understanding and preparation.

Prepare to recommend:

1. We must recommend the Sanxingdui Museum APP. It not only takes you to visit the museum first, but also has fun mini-games about Sanxingdui cultural relics.

2. Children’s picture books

3. CCTV APP "Samsung Chronicle" interestingly introduces the entire history.

You can slide left and right!

Walking into Sanxingdui is like walking into a strange world of aliens. I can't imagine how people at that time created such beautiful and imaginative works of art!

Be sure to ask for an explanation when you arrive at the scene. Because there were too many people during the summer vacation, we worked together with others to give an explanation, but the explanation was not enough!

You have to eat the popsicles at every attraction!

This set of archaeological blind boxes is highly recommended, so you can leave your children alone for a day... It is available on the official website of Xingbao's Sanxingdui.

【Kuanzhai Alley】

After visiting Sanxingdui, when I returned to the city, I took my children to walk through the Kuanzhai Alley and take a look around. Internet celebrity attractions are always crowded with people!

For dinner, any one of the streets that line the Kuanzhai Alley is delicious.

Day 10 Leshan Giant Buddha

Take the high-speed train from Chengdu to Leshan early in the morning. There are many guides online about the route of Leshan Giant Buddha. Since we had to take the train back to Chengdu in the evening, we had no choice in the cruise part.

At the entrance of the Oriental Buddha Capital where you can take a ride online from the train station, here is another gate. You have to walk all the way to the Leshan Giant Buddha. When I went in, I saw an explanation and asked for it. The Oriental Buddha Capital and Leshan Giant Buddha are divided into two parts. Tickets are purchased separately, as are the explanations. We only paid the explanation fee for the Oriental Buddha Capital. The Leshan Giant Buddha later had less content, so there was no renewal fee.

Oriental Buddha can be regarded as a mistake. We didn’t see this party before looking at the guide (which means I didn’t do a good job in the guide). Each section of the Oriental Buddha is very exciting and shocking.

A mountain is a Buddha, and a Buddha is a mountain. This is not only the case with the Leshan Giant Buddha, but also in the Buddhist capitals of the East.

The Leshan Giant Buddha overlooks the confluence of the three rivers and has a broad view.

Day 11 Sands Museum

The epidemic broke out due to summer travel, and we also temporarily changed our itinerary and air tickets. But I didn’t go to Jinsha, and I felt very regretful, so I changed my flight to the evening. Since I had to go to Jinsha once, the Sichuan Provincial Museum gave up. Perhaps also due to the outbreak, everyone left Chengdu.

We booked the Sands Museum, which we never expected.

Today’s museums are great both in terms of exhibits and exhibition environment! Some museums even have new designs for exhibition circulation and exhibit window designs.

It ends with a drawing from the child! The road you have traveled and the world you have seen will become a part of your body.
