When I mentioned this to a friend, I learned that my friend Yue Yue happened to be planning a trip to Wugong Mountain as well, and it turned out to be a "compatible". Together, the two decided to go with the club considering it was their first time to reload. As a result, the number of applicants was not enough and they could not form a group. Therefore, the two rookies had to fend for themselves.
After referring to the itinerary and equipment list issued by the club, we consulted with several old donkeys to buy tickets, buy equipment, and borrow equipment (thank you to the amigos who lent us equipment: Xiami, KK, Xiaoxin, and a certain friend), seven Seven or eight, we’re ready to go.
Approximate itinerary:
On November 1, the overnight train arrived in Pingxiang;
On November 2, we set off from Longshan Village in Pingxiang and arrived at Qianzhangyan;
November 3, destination Golden Summit;
On November 4, we went down the mountain and returned to Pingxiang city;
November 5th, return trip.

This hike was our first time to repack, and the weight of the backpack had reached the limit of what we could bear, so knee pads and double poles were very necessary and could play a great role in protection and assistance.

The hiking route of Wugong Mountain can be said to be quite mature, and there are supply points along the way. But the trick is that since it is not a weekend, the supply points are closed. The destination we planned to reach on the first day was Fayunjie. At three o'clock in the afternoon, Yueyue and I had already arrived. After asking the store, we found that walking ahead were Qianzhangyan, Haohan Slope and Despair Slope; we really wanted to continue walking and reach Qianzhangyan. , increase today’s itinerary, so that tomorrow’s itinerary will be easier, but the problem is, we don’t know if the inn in Qianzhangyan is open. Although we brought a tent, washing and eating were problems. After a little struggle, we decided to continue forward. After walking for more than an hour, I arrived at Qianzhangyan, but unfortunately, the inn on the roadside was closed. At this time, I didn’t know how long it would take to walk forward to reach the next open inn. It was impossible to go back, so I had to make a decision. I plan to camp on the spot and make do for one night.
Just when we were dejected and ready to start work, a couple walked in the opposite direction. They said hello briefly and complained about our situation. They brought us good news, saying that there was an open inn just over the hill in front of us. Yueyue and I picked up our bags again and moved on. At this time, there is a lot of motivation underfoot, because there is delicious pheasant ahead.

Tip: There is a big temperature difference between morning and evening on the mountain. After the sun went down, we and the girls accompanying us were already freezing, so be sure to bring more clothes.

It feels like there is a 60-degree slope that makes people feel like they are going to fall every time they turn around. At this time, you can only cheer yourself up. You must not let your feet go weak and you must hold on.

After experiencing the Despair Slope, my feet no longer obeyed me. The last walk up the mountain was very difficult. I relied on the support of two poles to have the strength to step up a step. There are 8,000 stone steps, which is really tough.

When we reached the top of the mountain, the weather was no longer very good. After the first night’s tent experience, we decided to stay in a hotel. There was only one inn on the top of the mountain, with clearly marked prices and average conditions. For us at that time, having a roof to shelter from the wind was enough.
When we woke up the next day, we encountered heavy fog, with visibility only a few meters. Yueyue and I were very lucky to have climbed the mountain early, otherwise we would not have been able to see the road.

The trip down the mountain was relatively easy. We walked for a while, then took the ropeway, walked for a while, and then added a ropeway to reach the foot of the mountain. The driver who came when we arrived left his contact information and gave us a phone call, and he was waiting for us at the foot of the mountain.
At noon, we arrived at the foot of the mountain, which is also the main gate of Wugong Mountain Scenic Area.
