Day 5.Day and night in Tokyo
Osaka-Shinkansen-Tokyo

On the fifth day of the trip, it still rained non-stop in the morning.
In the morning, I looked at the rain and fog outside, and I didn’t even want to go out to the hotel, so I slept in the hotel until 10:30 before getting up to pack my things. I checked out of the room around 11:30 to store my luggage, and then went to the shopping mall opposite the hotel and found a hotel. At a ramen shop, I had a buffet of ramen. Then go back to the hotel to get your luggage. The rain was heavy but there was nothing I could do. I could only hold an umbrella and drag my luggage and walk to the JR station near the hotel, take the train to Osaka Station and take the Shinkansen to Tokyo...
While looking at the map and rushing on the road, I looked at the weather forecast to see the weather conditions in Tokyo. I hope that after arriving in Tokyo, I can get rid of this annoying rainy day and not affect the next trip...
Terrible Shinkansen ticket sales staff attitude

Butthis is where I have to complain.
It is said that employees in the service industry in Japan are very kind and patient, but when I bought Shinkansen tickets at Osaka Station during this trip, the service staff I met were extremely bad. Yes, they were really bad. extreme…
While queuing, I paid attention to the people buying tickets in front of me and the service staff. However, the purchase process of the ticket purchasers in front of me went smoothly (they all spoke Japanese), and the staff also showed I have a lot of patience, and my face and attitude are still very good in all aspects. I thought at the time that what others said was pretty good, and my attitude was pretty good... However, when it came to me, because I didn’t speak Japanese, I communicated in English. Although my English is not very good, it’s not like I can’t understand it, right? Maybe the other party just sees me as a Chinese? At this time, the staff member's face, attitude, and patience had undergone a 180-degree change. It could be seen that although the attitude in his eyes could not be said to be contemptuous, the impatient attitude was simply vicious. He didn't answer any of the questions I asked, and he didn't even show his attitude of paying attention. Then he took out a piece of paper without even looking at it. It explained the ticket purchase details and process in English and Chinese, and then he said nothing. He didn’t look at me either, and kept glancing absentmindedly at the queue behind me... The problem is that I don’t need to, after all, I know the ticket purchase process...
There is a difference between unreserved seats and reserved seats on the Shinkansen. Because the trip takes several hours, I was afraid that there would be no seats on the unreserved seats and I would have to stand for several hours to get to Tokyo, so I specifically wanted to remind you to buy reserved seat tickets. But before I finished speaking, the other party had already typed out the ticket... I was confused at the time and felt strange that I hadn't explained clearly yet. Why was the ticket issued? When I saw that the ticket was for non-reserved seats, I almost wanted to vomit... If I had known that I would have gone to the vending machine next door to wait in line longer, at least I would still have the leeway and right to choose between non-reserved seats and reserved seats... Even if I had taken a step back to speak Even if JR has a rule that ticket buyers will default to non-reserved seats without explanation, but should they take the initiative to ask what kind of tickets they need without fully communicating? Is this difficult?
When such a bad situation occurs, I really have to suspect that the person's regional discrimination and service attitude are really disgusting... although I don't like to think so. I really felt that this attitude put a dent in the entire JR service and even in Japan as a whole...
▼
Although I was very angry at the time, I really didn’t want such a bad experience to affect my subsequent mood... I could only forget it. Of course, this is just a very special incident that I unfortunately encountered. After all, the service staff I met from all walks of life during the entire trip were relatively friendly and showed great patience...
At least that's what I see on the surface...
Fortunately, I finally found a seat in the non-reserved seats...

First time in Tokyo

In fact, it is no exaggeration to say that I have been running on the Shinkansen since 12 noon in Osaka. When I arrived in Tokyo, I walked for about 20 minutes to the hotel in Shiba Park. It was a bit cold that afternoon, as if it was late autumn.
The room I originally booked could see Tokyo Tower. When I checked in, I found that although it was a corner room, it was located to the south and I couldn't see Tokyo Tower... I was full of regrets. Later, I called the front desk and communicated with the hotel. I paid extra and changed to a large corner room on the west side of the 15th floor, right next to Tokyo Tower. You can also see Roppongi Hills from a distance. So far...complete.
International practice is to take some pictures of the environment outside the hotel while there is some light when you arrive at the hotel...
▼
The night before, I searched for a long time and found Ichiran Ramen near Shinsaibashi in Osaka, but when I saw that I had to wait at least 40 minutes to be seated, I decided to turn around and leave. Then I arrived in Tokyo this afternoon and saw that there is a branch near Roppongi. Since I planned to go to Roppongi Hills, I decided to try my luck.
Fortunately, although this store in Roppongi is very small, there are not many people, so there is no need to queue up for a table.

TOKYO NIGHT.

In fact, when we came out after dinner, it was raining heavily outside. I thought that the rain from Kansai was following our footsteps and drifting to Tokyo, right?
I stood on the stairs outside the store and waited for the rain to stop, so I decided to go to Roppongi Hills as planned. It is actually nearby and it only takes about 5-8 minutes to walk. Tokyo is still Tokyo, the street lighting level and the flow of people are more than Osaka, and it is not even on the same level as Kyoto.
▼
When we arrived at Roppongi Hills, we went to the ticket office and planned to buy tickets to go to the sightseeing platform on the top floor, but the ticket salesperson said that because it had just rained, it was quite foggy outside the upper floors, so we might not be able to see much scenery, so we were advised not to go. I have no choice but to give up...
But seeing that it was only around 8 pm, it might not be until 9 pm to take the subway back to the hotel, so I felt that such a day would be a waste. I looked at the map on my phone and decided to walk back to the hotel in Shiba Park from Roppongi. After all, it’s not very far...
And wouldn’t it be nice to take a walk through the streets of Tokyo at night?
▼
Maybe it’s due to the influence of my previous work in movies and TV shows. I always feel that Tokyo is centered around Tokyo Tower? So the area around Tokyo Tower is the most prosperous and lively area...but in fact, as we leave Roppongi and walk towards Tokyo Tower (hotel), there are fewer people and it even starts to become deserted. But along the way I saw many collection exhibition halls, and most of them were related to cars...
▼
It’s a pity that no matter how you take the photos or look at them, you can’t feel how you felt when you saw this scene at the scene...
There is a sense of oppression, a contrasting sense of oppression. In a layman's terms, this feeling can be understood as: it feels very grand...
▼
Back near Shiba Park, it was almost ten o'clock in the evening. When I was waiting for the traffic light, I looked at the map on my mobile phone and saw that there were several convenience stores not far to the south... so...
Let me eat Yokan and Cup Noodles and update again….
This is how our first night in Tokyo ended.

One day in Tokyo

The entire trip has reached the sixth day, the second day in Tokyo. It didn’t rain this morning, and we could occasionally see a little sunshine, but it was basically cloudy. I originally planned to go to Tsukiji Market, but I heard that Tsukiji Market was being relocated, so I canceled it and instead went directly to Odaiba Seaside Park for a pilgrimage...
▼
Seagull Line (some people like to call it Seagull Lily Line?)
Is this route a bit special in Tokyo? The entire route is walked outdoors on an elevated highway, and both the thread and the body are very short. However, this route is also relatively popular with tourists because it travels through the high-rise areas of Tokyo and then passes through the Rainbow Bridge to Odaiba, so there are some people I would take this train specifically just to see the scenery. I heard that it would be more beautiful if I took it at night, but I didn’t take it at night, so there is no night view here...
But if you want to go sightseeing, it is recommended to go to the terminal (seems to be Shinbashi Station) and get on the bus at the terminal, so that you can get sightseeing seats at both the front and the end...

Odaiba, Gundam and Ferris wheel

Well, no need to say more about this...
A pilgrimage site in Odaiba, a scaled RX-0 UNICORN GUNDAM... But in fact, I prefer the previous RX-78 to the Unicorn Gundam... Also, don’t ask about this Gundam Questions like whether you can drive or not are meaningless...
▼
I have always been in a state of looking at things, and now I feel unhappy just thinking about it...
Here is a little suggestion. If you want to see the scenery of the Rainbow Bridge, I suggest you go and see it in the evening or at night. I really don’t think there’s much to see if you see it during the day... Why do I always feel like I’m in fake Tokyo, Japan, and saw a fake rainbow? Bridge?
▼
There are actually many dining shops in the shopping mall in Odaiba. I thought about it while having lunch and decided to go to Sky Tree in the afternoon. It happens to be in Asakusa. You can also go to Sensoji Temple first...
But I don’t understand why I want to eat fried chicken...but that caramel pudding dessert is really delicious!
▼
You still have to take the Seagull Line first, then transfer to the Ginza Line at Shimbashi Station to Asakusa...
▼
But to be honest, I miscalculated again and didn’t remember that Sensoji Temple is actually a popular tourist attraction. The moment I left the station, I already felt regretful and a little panicked because there were so many people that I couldn’t stand it.

SKYTREE. Sky tree

It was like checking in. After walking around Sensoji Temple, I came out and prepared to go to the Sky Tree.
After looking at the map, I actually thought it wasn’t very far... so I decided to walk there and take a look at the scenery along the way, right? At least that's what I thought. In fact, it doesn't look far, but the whole journey takes almost an hour, about 2.5-3 kilometers... It's a bit tiring to walk all the way.
▼
Okay, it’s just another check-in location, Sky tree.
Let’s talk about my feelings. First of all, the ticket price is really not cheap. An adult ticket for the top-level sightseeing platform costs more than 3,000 or almost 4,000 yen, and the RMB is about 200 yuan... But there are advantages to buying this highest ticket price, which is for foreign tourists. There is an exclusive VIP channel where you can go directly without queuing.
Well, judging from an objective perspective, I don’t think it’s worth it. If I hadn't watched NHK's Sky Tree construction process documentary, I don't think I would be that interested in the Sky Tree. The wheel height is a little higher than the Canton Tower (antenna height), but in fact the height of the sightseeing platform is about the same as that of the Canton Tower. The Canton Tower is the same. If I remember correctly, there is a difference of two meters. (Ignore it). But it is obvious that the actual view is not as wide as the Canton Tower. There is also a 360-degree spiral corridor on the top floor. But the field of view is even narrower, and it is basically difficult to see any open scenery.
Of course, there is still a suggestion. If you don’t mind the price of the ticket, you can try it, but you have to look at the weather and the visibility of the air that day before deciding whether to go up. After all, at such a high altitude, if the visibility of the air is not high, then It's very gray, it's very bad and affects the visual senses...

Omotesando and LuKe`s Lobster
Copyright ©2013-2018 kong ping Photography all rights reserved.
When we came out of the Sky Tree, it was already close to five o'clock in the afternoon, and we no longer knew where we wanted to go. I remembered that I was scrolling through Moments and saw a friend who stayed in Kyoto and said that I ate at LuKe`s Lobste in Osaka. Although she said it was very general and not recommended, but for people who are hungry and tired after coming out of the Sky Tree, this LuKe`s Lobste is still very attractive. I searched on the map and found that there happened to be a store on Biao 3rd Road...
Then there’s no need to say anything. Let’s go to the Third Avenue...
▼
Well, Omotesando? There’s nothing to say, just one word: trendy!!
▼
This LuKe`s Lobste is actually quite popular. After all, it is an Internet celebrity store that opened from New York to Japan...
This store near Omotesando is actually not very conspicuous. It is in an alley, but many people were queuing. I spent about 15-20 minutes queuing that day.
Taste? Some people may not like it, but I think it's okay, not to the point of saying it's not delicious... Price? ? I forgot, it’s not very expensive anyway…relatively…
▼
The bag from LuKe`s Lobste just now is considered dinner...although I think the portion is a little less.
It was still early, so let’s take a stroll around Omotesando... In fact, Shibuya is not too far away, but I was a little tired in the end, so I didn’t go in the direction of Shibuya.
▼
I basically clocked in all day long, but I was very tired...
It was only after 8 o'clock when we returned to the hotel. In fact, it was still enough time to go to Kabukicho or other surrounding places to see, but I was really tired.
While lying on the sofa and playing with my phone, I felt an earthquake. The height of the 15th floor was still a bit sensitive. I could clearly feel the hotel building shaking, the glass windows vibrated a little, and the water in the cup was shaking slightly. After looking at the pedestrians on the road downstairs, I felt that there should be no feeling on the ground. There was nothing unusual about the behavior of the pedestrians.
I immediately checked Twitter, and sure enough, I soon saw news of an earthquake. The epicenter was in the east of Chiba Prefecture. In fact, it was a small earthquake, less than magnitude 4.
It was the first time I felt an earthquake. I was actually a little panicked. I just thought about it. This kind of earthquake should be common for Japanese people, right? The hotel didn't issue any warning...
So let’s continue playing on the phone and go to bed…
