Ten years ago, my friends and I traveled to Guizhou. Guizhou is the only mountain kingdom in the country without plains, and the colorful ethnic minority cultures are extremely rich and unique. At that time, many places in Guizhou had not yet opened expressways, and traveling in Guizhou often meant hard work and tossing; we took public transportation from Kaili to Zhaoxing and drove along the winding mountain road for a whole day, arriving in Zhaoxing in the afterglow of the setting sun. At that time, Zhaoxing was hidden in the valleys of high mountains and ridges, primitive and simple.

It’s hard to imagine that ten years from now, Guizhou will have expressways and high-speed rails extending in all directions, and it only takes five hours by high-speed rail from the Chengdu Plain to Zhaoxing. The scene after entering Guizhou is very special. The mountains are green and delicate, and some are rising from the ground in clusters. The shape of a steamed bun; when you see the shiny puddles in the mountains, you can see the terraced fields built by the local ethnic minorities along the mountains, and the villages clustered in the valleys.

When traveling with children, we hope that it will be less troublesome and we don’t have to travel every day. We hope that children living in cities can enter the natural environment and experience different cultures. Of course, it is best to be able to travel Get involved in the lives of local people, play with local children and make friends.
Children's happiness is nothing more than catching dragonflies and fish in the fields, wading in the river and throwing stones, and running in the streets with local children.

During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, we stayed in Zhaoxing and used this place as a base to explore the surrounding area.
Our specific arrangement is as follows. We will spend a day in Zhaoxing Dong Village to explore Dong culture, take the children to wander among the five drum towers, and go to the fields to find natural pigments and use batik to make a piece of their own. My own T-shirt; Although various B&Bs and bars have emerged in Zhaoxing, a small city. The hustle and bustle of the day and the noise of the night are filled with the main street. The straddling Fengyu Tower and the Drum Towers scattered in every corner are still the center of local life, where people chat, sing, enjoy the cool air, and children play and run.

Of course the beauty of night belongs to the starry sky and fireflies

A little further away from Zhaoxing, we entered its back garden - fields and villages. There is a canyon trail winding up, passing through a natural Dong village, Xiage, and finally reaching the top of the mountain, Tang'an Dong Village.
This route is not long, only five kilometers. When we set off from the Dong village with smoke from cooking stoves in the early morning, we walk into the valley along the morning dew and colorful clouds. We are accompanied by the chirping of insects and birds in the fields, mountains and forests, and the gurgling of streams along the way. The children enjoy this rare experience with the gentle breeze. natural beauty.

From time to time, we would encounter busy farmers carrying baskets on their backs, going up and down the mountain. As we went higher, we saw mountains in the distance, layers of terraces appearing, mountains and rivers intertwining, and a wild life.

Finally, we arrived at Tang'an. The terraced fields seen from above were particularly stunning in the afterglow of the setting sun. The winding mountain road here, less than 10 kilometers away from Zhaoxing, still maintained its freshness, natural simplicity.

The most interesting activity is to have a wild fishing trip with the children in a rice field in Tang'an. Even the most timid children refuse to get a little bit of mud on their trouser legs at first, but they can be treated like fish. The child slipped from the palm of the hand, and the exciting scream finally attracted the timid child to jump into the rice field, and finally became a mud monkey happily.

The ancient city of Longli is a place worth visiting. This is also the place that impressed us the most. Six hundred years ago, the Ming Dynasty guarded the border and built a fort here. This is a cultural island, where Dong Miao people live. All people living here are Han Chinese.

When we came here in the evening, it felt like we had entered an ancient town where time had stood still. Between the horse-headed walls of the Hui-style architecture, in the courtyards of the mansions, there were old men waving fans to cool off, children running, and people walking through the high-walled courtyards. Family eating on the patio.

Walking on the city wall on the side of Tunbao, a fat girl with a toddler was followed by a young mother.
The texture of this oil painting reminds me of the scene at the end of Journey to the West, where the Supreme Treasure and Lady Zixia stand on the wall.

Guizhou, which is three-quarters landscape and seven-cent humanity, is suitable for bringing children to experience its nature, humanity and life.
