"Boao" means abundant fish, which in popular language means "rich fish and fat fish". As early as the Song Dynasty, Dan people thrived here, and the name Boao comes from the Dan people's desire for a better life. yearn for.

The main reason why Boao is famous is that it is the permanent site of the Forum for Asia. However, many people probably know very little about the other side of Boao, such as the beautiful pastoral town like Xiaojiabiyu.

When traveling to Hainan, Boao is one of the must-check-in places. We navigated all the way and directly arrived at the permanent site of the Boao Forum for Asia.

We originally planned to eat near the scenic area, but looking at the prices in the scenic area, we found that the price of a small bottle of mineral water was basically three times that of the outside world. Eating in the scenic area was probably far beyond our affordability.

So we searched for Boao’s delicacies online, and a small shop named Jinkejia came into our sights.

Jinkejia is the transliteration of "really delicious" in Hainan dialect. It mainly sells Boao's local special grain dishes and has an excellent reputation.

I ordered a dish called Coconut Milk Chicken Shit Teng, which makes people frightened by its name. This is a drink made from local specialty Chinese medicinal materials. Although Chicken Shit Teng is said to have a stench, after processing, not only does it have no odor, but on the contrary, it has a stench. Against the background of coconut milk, there is a faint fragrance lingering in the teeth. The price is not expensive either. If you buy in a group, a bowl of this kind only costs less than 4 yuan.

The must-try durian ice cream is a big one, full of durian flavor, and with a soft texture, it immediately became Brother Chen’s favorite.

In addition to local grain dishes, Hainan's famous pickled noodles, Nanyang-style pastries, and Hakka delicacies salt-baked chicken can all be tasted here. Although the taste is still far behind that of the place of origin, it is enough to comfort us.

The Hainan island tour is coming to an end. We have passed dozens of towns, large and small. From the perspective of planning and execution, Boao Town is undoubtedly the best.

It not only has neat streets, beautiful greenery, and complete leisure spaces, but also has an architectural style that combines international elements with local elements, showing the beautiful features of Chinese countryside to the world.

Walking on the streets of Boao, the shops on both sides mainly focus on catering, delicacies and Hainan specialties. Although the business types of the shops are a bit messy, the specifications of the street plaques are unified, giving people a clean and elegant feeling.

Tourists coming to Boao come from all over the world, so there are many kinds of food here. We had dinner at an old Shaanxi noodle restaurant, which was a good reward for our northern stomach.

After dinner, while the family was strolling around the Asian Style Plaza on Dongshan Street in Boao, they were suddenly attracted by beams of light. Following the source of the beams, we arrived at the Boao Port Pier.

Here, we saw a very shocking water curtain movie and light show. This was the first time we saw a water curtain movie. The family of three was very excited because our family was standing on the pier and there were no other tourists around. , it can be said that we enjoyed the water curtain movie that was reserved by the whole family.

It is understood that this light show was only built last year, with a total investment of nearly 100 million. It integrates water curtains, fountains, projections, lasers, lights, music, and fire breathing, and wonderfully interprets the history, culture and nature of Boao, Qionghai, and Hainan. The scenery interprets the seaside at night into a magnificent and magnificent scenery.

The light show is completely free. Remember to go early. It almost ends at 9pm every night. Don’t miss it if you come to Boao!

Although Boao is world-famous for the Forum for Asia, its other side, the pastoral town, is warmer than the city and more comfortable than other villages.
