The last time I came to Guishan was during my primary school spring outing.

At that time, the TV tower could still be climbed, and the small hillside was crowded with people.

More than ten years have passed, where is Guishan today?

• Quietly hidden in the city

In the past ten years, Guishan has not been heard much. If you ask some young Wuhan people, they may not even know where Guishan is and how to get up there. However, I have recently read a lot of articles about Wuhan, occasionally mentioning this niche hillside, so his name left some traces in my mind.

Nothing happened on the weekend, but the weather was very good. The most comfortable season in Wuhan is the Golden Nine and Silver Ten. Especially in the recent days, the sun is bright, the sky is blue and white clouds, but it is not too hot, and there is a breeze in the shade. It is too hard not to go out and play. wasted. After all, there is no spring and autumn in Wuhan, only winter and summer...

Then I thought of Guishan and wanted to go see it. I haven’t been there for more than ten years, so it seemed like a new attraction to me. We drove directly to Hanyang Creative Park, parked the car, and took a walk. The first time I came here was when the park just opened. Everything was very strange, including all kinds of graffiti and the creative park design. I took a lot of photos.

But now, perhaps due to the problem of positioning and attracting investment in the park, as well as the collapse of many small start-up companies stationed there, there is a feeling of depression, which is sad. In fact, the location and environment are still very good.

• It’s right here!

Not far from Hanyang Creative Park, there is a very hidden entrance with steps. The word "Guishan" is written on the rockery next to it. It is really easy to miss it if you are just passing by without looking carefully.

After climbing a short flight of steps, my heart rate started to rise a bit and I was out of breath. Sure enough, I usually exercised too little and gradually became a sluggish person. There are lush green trees next to it, as if there is an oxygen barrier, which is much fresher.

But the crowds are really sparse, and you may occasionally pass by 1-2 people who come to climb and exercise. Although the popularity is low, this is a good thing for those who come to relax and hike ~ There is no hustle and bustle, no piles of domestic garbage, and no queues for the bathroom...

I looked at the map of Guishan at the entrance (as if I were a foreigner). I saw that the entire hillside is circular, which means that no matter how you walk, you will usually go around the place you should go to, just follow the circle.

• Hiking is like searching for treasure

Although Guishan is not high or big, and it is only a few kilometers short if you go around it in a full circle, there are sculptures of figures from the Three Kingdoms, Red Warrior Cemetery, Xiang Jingyu Martyrs Cemetery, Lu Su Tomb, Guishan TV Tower, etc.

While walking, I discovered something. It is precisely because Guishan is a bit unknown as a scenic spot, so unlike ordinary scenic spots, there are very detailed introductions/maps/instructions. But because of this, let The hiking process has a sense of surprise like a treasure hunt.

In terms of geographical location, Guishan It faces the Yangtze River in front, the Han River in the north, Yuehu Lake in the west, and Lianhua Lake in the south. , majestically entrenched, facing the Wuchang Snake Mountain on the river. Walking on the trail, you can occasionally see the big river and lake through the woods, and the scenery of the three towns is in full view. So the hiking process is not boring at all.

What is interesting is that there is not only one trail. You can choose narrow stairs with a steep slope, or you can take a wider ramp that is more comfortable to walk on. There are often some wooden seats passing by the roadside, so you can stop when you are tired. Come down and take a rest. Although there are no dedicated non-staple food shops due to the sparse population, there are several drink vending machines on the mountain, which is quite convenient.

• Jimu Chutianshu

After walking for a while, almost to the end, you can see an archway, a big cauldron behind the archway, and a TV tower behind the cauldron. There seems to be no specially set up viewing platform at the moment.

But when you walk to the TV tower, there is little obstruction and you can see the whole view. You can see the vast Yangtze River, the majestic First Yangtze River Bridge, the Yellow Crane Tower opposite, and further away, the bright red Parrot Island Bridge.

The TV tower in front of me still feels very tall and spectacular when I look at it, but it looks a bit depressed. I don’t know if it is still in use. Anyway, the observation deck and revolving restaurant that I visited when I was a child have long been discontinued. In fact, I think it can be developed further, maybe even bungee jumping or something...After all, there is not such a tall tower everywhere.

• "Mediocre" Greater Wuhan

While hiking, I saw people planting national flags on the street lamps on both sides of the trail. The workload was actually quite large, with only 1-2 people doing it. There is a small patriotic book bar on the mountain, which is guarded, but few people visit it on weekends.

There is a different feeling. Even such a deserted or even depressed "scenic spot" should really be maintained and promoted as a leisure holiday to take a walk, take the family for a walk, or as a hiking or exercise , a place to breathe fresh air , are still very good.

The scenery after climbing to the top is even better than some attractions that charge tickets. It is a big free park like this, and you will make a lot of money when you come here. Why is the title called "Ordinary" Great Wuhan ? Most people should know this meme. And what I mentioned here is unremarkable, but it expresses:

It looks ordinary, but actually dig into it with a love for life, and you will be pleasantly surprised to find that Wuhan turns out to be a treasure city! The mood behind this title is that it is low-key and unremarkable, but there is a little bit of pride in the heart.

In the past, like most people, when it came to "what to do in Wuhan", I would think that there is nothing to do in Wuhan, and it is not a tourist city. But now, I feel more and more that Wuhan deserves to be savored carefully and should not stop at being big.
