Introduction to Dandong Phoenix Mountain
Dandong Fenghuang Mountain Scenic Area is located on the outskirts of Fengcheng City, only 3 kilometers away from the city center. It faces North Korea's Miaoxiang Mountain in the south and echoes Benxi Water Cave in the north. It is a national-level scenic spot and a national AAAA-level tourist attraction. Phoenix Mountain in Dandong has been known as "the first mountain in Liaodong" since ancient times. During the Southern and Northern Dynasties, it was called "Wugu Mountain". During the Zhenguan period, Li Shimin, Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty, visited this mountain. A phoenix flew to worship his ancestors. Taizong was so pleased that he named it "Phoenix Mountain". It has a history of more than 1,300 years. The Xishan Scenic Area and the Dongshan Scenic Area have been built. The highest peak of Fenghuang Mountain in Dandong is Cuanyun Peak, with an altitude of 836 meters. Integrating "the majesty of Mount Tai, the steepness of Mount Hua, the tranquility of Mount Lu, the wonder of Mount Huang, and the beauty of Emei", it is famous for its natural beauty of "majestic and steep mountains, quiet springs and caves, strange flowers and trees, and beautiful scenery throughout the four seasons".

Preparation and matters:
1. Sports shoes, sportswear, mineral water and dry food, sunscreen, hiking gloves (some mountain roads require both hands to climb),
2. Because Fenghuang Mountain is relatively steep, it is not recommended for the elderly and children to climb Lao Niubei and other dangerous scenes. You can take the cable car up and down for sightseeing, or take the volleying plank road to experience the beautiful scenery;
3. Tourists who are afraid of heights or have heart disease are advised to proceed with caution

Three recommended hiking routes
1. Large loop route (suitable for professional climbers) : Mountain Gate, Ticket Gate, Northeast First Spring, Phoenix Square, Ziyang Temple, Liberation Memorial Tower, Phoenix Cave, Guanyin Pavilion, Skywalk, Beacon Tower, Luohan Peak, Jiangjun Peak, Lao Niubei, Tianxiajue, Glass Plank Road, Arrow Eyes, Shenma Peak, Heifengkou Plank Road, Dujuan Slope and other attractions. After going down the mountain, you can go to Chaoyang Temple to pray (the whole journey takes 7-8 hours, without any transportation)
2. Mid-cycle route (suitable for group tours and tourist attractions): Mountain Gate, Ticket Gate, Northeast First Spring, Phoenix Square, Ziyang Temple, Visit Rabbit Ear Peak on the cableway (Time saved 2-2.5h) , Diecuifeng, Laoniubei, Tianxiajue - Route ① There is a walking path down the mountain along the glass plank road. (The whole journey takes 4-5 hours round trip) . ② Descend the mountain from scenic spots such as Glass Plank Road, Arrow Eye, Shenma Peak, Heifengkou Plank Road, and Dujuan Slope (The whole journey takes 5.5-6 hours round trip, and the ropeway is used instead)
3. Small loop (suitable for the elderly/children without passing through thrilling attractions such as Lao Niubei) : Mountain Gate, Ticket Gate, Northeast First Spring, Phoenix Square, Ziyang Temple, Guanyin Pavilion, Phoenix Cave, Lingkong Plank Road and other attractions, beacon tower/Luohan Peak/Rabbit Ear Peak descent (the whole journey takes 4-5 hours round trip, without any transportation)
Note: 1. The climbing route starts from the People’s Memorial Tower and goes up the mountain. There is no need for electric bicycles.
2. From the cableway up the mountain to Rabbit's Peak (except for the downhill cableway) to Dujuan Slope or the Skywalk, there are no mobility scooters.
Recommended routes for transportation:
1. When going up the mountain by battery car: Mountain Gate - Ticket Gate (2.5 kilometers, 10 yuan, saving 40-50 minutes); When going down the mountain: Phoenix Square - Ticket Gate - Mountain Gate (3.5 kilometers, 20 yuan, saving 1.5 hours)
Note: If you are not physically able to go down the mountain via Dujuanpo, go directly from Dujuanpo to Phoenix Square to the ticket gate to the mountain gate (4.5 kilometers, 40 yuan, saving 2.5 hours)
2. Cableway: Uphill Cableway - Rabbit Ear Peak (ride time 15 minutes, save 2 hours),
Note: 1. Take a small loop on the cableway down the mountain to climb to Rabbit Ear Peak and take the cableway down the mountain.
2. The ropeway is 50 yuan one way, and children under 1.3 meters are free of charge.

The mountain gate says "Phoenix Mountain" in three typings (the background must be punched in), and the doorposts on both sides have couplets: "Unparalleled Range Rover in China, the No. 1 Mountain in China's Adventures"
Note: 1. The travel agency ticket purchase office is on the left side of the mountain gate, and the individual passenger ticket purchase office is on the right side.
2. The bathroom is in the parking lot on the left side of the mountain gate, and the pick-up and drop-off point for battery cars is in front of the parking lot on the right side of the mountain gate.
3. Mountain Gate - Ticket Gate (2.5 kilometers, 4.-50 minutes on foot, 10 minutes by battery car)

Passing Shanyin City is the ticket gate (check in to enter the park, each person has one ticket)
ShanYin City entered the first city gate of Fenghuang Mountain. Due to frequent mutinies from the end of the Northern and Southern Dynasties, mountain cities were built. In the Liao Dynasty, it was changed to "ShanYin City".
Don't go to the Dongshan Scenic Area. Take the left to Fenghuang Mountain. The concentrated attractions are in the Xishan Scenic Area.

Ziyang Temple ~The largest and most complete temple in Fenghuang Mountain Scenic Area, it maintains the architectural characteristics of the Liao and Jin Dynasties, with carved beams and painted columns, and is magnificent, taking the meaning of purple energy coming from the east.
To get to Phoenix Square (the real starting point for climbing) you can choose to 1. Walk directly from the People’s Monument to the mountain; 2. Take the ropeway to Rabbit Ear Peak (save about 2 hours)

When the ropeway reaches Rabbit Ear Peak, you can take a short rest. Drinks, food and fruits are sold. Because it is carried up from the bottom of the mountain, it is slightly more expensive. Start hiking on foot
Rabbit Ear Peak~
Jiangjun Peak~In 627 AD, Xue Li went to Liaodong during the war. Although he had many military exploits, he was persecuted by others and came to this mountain, so it was named Jiangjun Peak.
Lao Niu Bei ~ Because it looks like a supine green cow, lying naked on the cliff, it is called Lao Niu Bei. The total length is nearly 50 meters, the longest road is 30cm, and the narrowest is 10cm (the most dangerous part of Phoenix Mountain)
Hundred Steps ~ Close to 90 degrees vertical, climb with both hands. Therefore, the route from Lao Niu to Sanyuntai is exactly 100 steps, so it is called Baibu Jing.
Sanyuntai~A natural stone platform on the cliff, one higher than the other, a holy place for viewing Phoenix Mountain. Have the vision of "five steps to a scene, ten steps to a sky"
Glass Plank Road ~ On a cliff with an altitude of more than 800 meters, the shoe cover is 5 yuan (which can also be understood as the bridge boarding fee). The total length is 102 meters, and it is a mixed structure, of which 32 meters are laid out in glass.
Long shot Glass Plank Road~The editor likes to walk on the glass plank road when it’s foggy. It’s hazy and beautiful, and not so exciting.
Arrow Eye Peak~
Shenma Peak~The second highest peak of Phoenix Mountain, 826 meters above sea level

The three small loops of the route are similar to the volley plank road, all of which are on cliffs.
When you reach Dujuan Slope, you can take a battery car or continue hiking down the mountain. (If time permits, it is recommended to walk, and you will have a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery on the roadside.) Dujuan Slope is named after the red azaleas that bloom all over the mountain in spring.
To reach Phoenix Square, you can walk down the mountain for about 1.5 hours or take a battery car for 20 minutes.

After going down the mountain, eat a box of Dandong Jiujiu strawberries to replenish your strength. They cost 3-7 yuan/jin. If you come to Fenghuang Mountain in autumn, you can buy some Dandong chestnuts.
Route 3 ~ Appreciating the scenery of the small loop
Skywalk ~1100 meters
You can go down the mountain from the beacon tower or continue climbing to Rabbit Ear Peak and Jiangjun Peak and take the cableway down the mountain.

①Adult ticket 80 yuan/person;
②Children under 6 years old (including 6 years old) or under 1.3 meters in height (including 1.3 meters) are free of charge; minors between 6 years old (including 6 years old) and 18 years old (including 18 years old) are free of charge;
