On the eve of the Spring Festival of the Year of the Ox in 2021, the new crown epidemic broke out in a small number of clusters, and Heilongjiang Province, far north of the motherland, was also greatly affected. The epidemic has affected the lives of many people and also affected the winter tourism industry in my hometown. Due to the epidemic, the Ice and Snow World had to stop visiting in advance.
But I think it will pass soon. With the joint efforts of people around the world, more and more people are vaccinated. We will eventually defeat the epidemic, and then everyone can go to Harbin Ice and Snow World this winter.
When I returned home during the winter vacation in January 2015, I accompanied my classmates to the Ice and Snow World. It was the only time so far, but it left a deep impression on me. I feel very proud that my hometown can build such a beautiful "ice and snow kingdom". So this push is an old travelogue with many photos (warning for multiple pictures) . Everyone must pay more attention to data consumption.
The previous statement is a bit serious. Now let's turn on the "unserious" mode and travel with me in the cloud. I really want to make some contribution to the tourism industry in my hometown. Although there are very few fans, I can fool and recommend everyone. There is too much nonsense ahead, let’s look at the pictures!
This is the gate to the ice and snow world. Isn’t it very majestic and it can change colors!
The Ice and Snow World is located on the north side of the Songhua River, which we usually call Jiangbei. My small house is in Jiangnan, very close to the Songhua River. You should be there by taking a bus and crossing the highway bridge (I am a road addict, comparable to Sauron, so don’t listen to me when it comes to directions) . There are also scenic spots such as Sun Island on the other side of Jiangbei. When I went there, the ticket price seemed to be 330 yuan (it hurt my wallet), but at that time it was half price if you had a student ID card. When checking in, they saw that my ID card was from Harbin, and they gave me half the price even without looking at my student ID. This might be a benefit, I don’t know what it’s like now.
We two Northeastern girls entered the venue during the day, so we could play from morning to night, which was more cost-effective. Go around noon, when it's relatively warm (but it has to be minus 20 degrees Celsius) . The photo just now was taken in an igloo, a small house made entirely of ice. There seems to be a snow-white Arctic fox being held by the staff outside the igloo (I can’t remember this part, the Arctic fox is indeed some).
During the day, I just took photos with the ice castle and snow sculptures. Some of the photos looked really silly.
You can’t miss the ice slide in the Ice and Snow World, even though you had to queue for more than an hour and it was freezing to the core. You might as well get some warm patches or the like to keep warm. This ice slide is very long, and it will give you a feeling of lightning speed when you slide on it. When you slide down, you will feel that it was worth waiting in line for so long. I was really shocked when I reached the finish line because I was greeted by a snowdrift. This method of deceleration was also amazing. The whole person plunged into the snowdrift at a very fast speed. Not to mention, it was really "so cold and soaring" (Sprite came to pay 50 cents for advertising).
After playing on the ice slide, the two of us went to the ski resort in the Ice and Snow World. After buying the ticket, you can ski for free at the ski resort. This should be my 0.5th time to go skiing, because I have never been on the slopes. It was very difficult to put on the skis, so I just used the poles to slide around on the flat ground a few times (I admit that I am a fake Harbin person, but I can’t say that. Which Russian person have you seen who is naturally good at fighting bears? ).

There is a warm-up event around 7 p.m., and a host will organize the tourists to perform a group dance in the square. We seemed to have danced Uncle Psy's "Father, Mother, Gentleman" (the first line of the song), and the indispensable bunny dance suitable for multiple people. The scene was very joyful. None of us knew each other, but when we danced together, we all laughed and looked at the people around us. Not to mention, after dancing in the square, I wasn’t cold at all.
The trip to the ice and snow world ends here. It was a very happy day, feeling cold, warm, dreamy and bright. This is a travel diary from 2015 (just written today), 6 years have passed in a flash. I don’t know what the ice and snow world will be like in the future, but there will definitely be new surprises every year. You don’t need to visit twice a year. If you visit once, you will have a new feeling every time.

Super delicious barbecue, beer festival (there should be one), Harbin Summer Concert, etc. Lilacs are in full bloom in May. This is our city flower. They are white and purple in clusters, and their fragrance is fragrant.
