Travel around Shenwan Street Park
Unknowingly, it has been almost half a month since I came to Shenzhen, which I have been waiting for for a long time. Now I think back to my longing for work and life in Shenzhen before I came here. I was still a little naive. When I was in school, I dreamed of renting an exquisite apartment and cooking exquisite food every day. , you can go to the park at night and play around on weekends.
However, when I was looking for an apartment on the first night in Shenzhen, I was slapped in the face by reality. In reality, with my financial ability, there would be no exquisite apartments. There were only dilapidated and narrow old residential buildings and dark handshake buildings in urban villages. , but this is barely affordable. So, the longing for cooking delicious food and visiting parks seems to have become a luxury, because... people who understand don’t need to tell me.
Even so, it can't stop my wish. I have always wanted to record what I saw and heard in words and pictures, so I decided to add a new column "Travel Notes" in addition to "Reading Sharing" in the article. I will record the landscapes I have visited in my life and learn their design techniques to share with you.
What we are going to visit today are:
Shenzhen Shenwan Street Center Park - a playground for water and wind.
After having breakfast and lunch together on Saturday, we went to Shuiwan Metro Station and took 7 stops to reach Mangrove Bay Metro Station.
Just exit the subway and turn left!
The first thing you enter is a small distribution square, which meets the needs of urban transportation such as distribution in front of the station, taxi pick-up and drop-off, and walking across the street.
The plant arrangement is simple and lively. The lower layer is composed of orchid grass, planting a soft curve, with beautiful red plumeria flowers on top.
Keep walking forward and the green hills of cuckoos appear. The smart and rhythmic sports field stimulates the enthusiasm of athletes of different ages. To be honest, I really want to do a parkour move on this sloping side wall, but because of my movements I'm not very skilled and I'm afraid that I'll fall into a trap and eat shit.
The node below can be said to be the highlight of the entire park, a wonderful feature.
The splashing water from this tall aqueduct bridge and the circular terrazzo water feature are children's favorites. Not only is the design creative, but the construction details are also carefully polished, leaving no sharp corners to prevent children from being bumped while playing in the water.
The finishing touch is definitely not just a device that splashes water on the surface. Shenwan Street Park uses ecological methods to store and purify water, and use the water when needed. The water on the aqueduct bridge comes from collected rainwater.
So the question is, how did the rainwater reach such a high aqueduct bridge? Remain in doubt for now.
Crossing the lawn in the center of the park, surrounded by woods and miscanthus, allows residents to be temporarily isolated from the city. The most comfortable way is to lie down next to the miscanthus under the shade of the trees.
I walked across the lawn and saw the windmill! It converts wind energy into kinetic energy and pumps rainwater to the aqueduct bridge.
The entire park has many large and small gravel metasequoia wetlands used to settle and filter water. There are also water-friendly steps and aquatic plants around the pool. There were tadpoles and screws inside, and I even caught a dragonfly standing on its head. These ecological and natural scenes must be precious memories for urban children.
We walked around the 320M long jogging track and finished visiting this park in the middle of the street. Because I came here at around 11 o'clock at noon, there were no people in the venue. And because of the heat, I also walked around in a hurry. There must be many design details. I haven’t observed it properly. If I have the opportunity next time when there are many people at night, I will observe how people use the venue. I believe there will be more new discoveries.
