Summer is not complete without seeing the sea.

The beach is a natural playground for children, and there is finally endless sand to consume their endless energy; the sea is also a private space for every adult, and there is finally a reasonable occasion to relax and relax.

If eating is a difficult matter, then going to the beach is suitable for all ages. I don’t think anyone will refuse to take a look at the cool blue ocean in summer.

Open the map of China and look along the coastline from north to south. There are several major sea-viewing provinces in China: Shandong, Fujian, Guangdong, and Hainan . Their coastlines are long and the sea water is blue, which is fun to play with. There are many cities to choose from.

Just when I was envious that the people in the above provinces could freely see the sea, my eyes fell on Zhoushan - the sea closest to the people of Zhejiang Province.

@安小尼儿

Improving GDP is not Zhoushan's strong point. It is responsible for the hope of the people in the province to live and work in peace and contentment. Nanhai Guanyin, who lives in the "Buddha Kingdom on the Sea" Putuo Mountain, is open all year round, receiving believers from all over the world and listening to their wishes. I remember back then, my dad paid his respects to me as I was about to enter the college entrance examination room.

Although the sea water near the main island of Zhoushan is quite yellow, if you go to several islands in the outer sea, the sea water is absolutely beautiful. In addition to Dongji Island, which was popularized by Han Han's movie "Unexpectedly", Flower and Bird Island and Gouqi Island are also romantic places for daydreams.

When you come to the beach, you always have to complete the "Gout Package". Even during the fishing ban season, East China Sea seafood will not disappoint, there are still many varieties (the ban will be gradually lifted starting from August 1).

Zhoushan's tourism industry was developed early and the overall supporting facilities are relatively complete. In addition to the fact that ferry tickets are hard to get during the peak season, food, drinks, accommodation and transportation can be arranged more appropriately.

However, many of my friends have not been to Zhoushan yet because they are too lazy to take the step of making a guide. There are many outlying islands in Zhoushan, so it really takes some effort to figure out transportation. So where to go, how to get there, and where to stay , these are the basic questions, let me help you sort them out first.

This article is full of useful information and is worth collecting!

01 – What places can I visit in Zhoushan?

Zhoushan is composed of more than 1,000 islands, and the only one directly connected to the mainland is the main island. This island has the largest population in the city and is also a transit point for transportation.

Shenjiamen on the main island is the distribution center for seafood in Zhoushan. During the fishing season, the pier is extremely busy every day. Now moved to Donggang, the Shenjiamen late-night snack stall takes over the responsibility of exporting the delicacies of the "fishing capital" and is a good place to soothe the soul on summer nights.

Zhoushan's airport is located in Zhujiajian. This small island is connected to the main island by a cross-sea bridge. Zhujiajian’s tourist attributes are much better than those of the main island. Along the east coastline all the way south, the road is almost full of scenic spots, and there are some sections of the road around the island that are really beautiful.

@Cardinal

There are many beaches on the island, including free and paid ones, sandy beaches and pebble beaches. You can go parasailing, sailing, or climb mountains to enjoy the sunrise. The itinerary can be arranged in a variety of ways.

@Grandpa Langya

The Sand Sculpture Festival is an annual event in Zhujiajian, and this year's sand sculptures are already available for viewing. It coincides with the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party, so the work is mainly red-themed. By the way, this is also the regular performance venue of "East China Sea Music Festival" .

The Daqingshan National Park on the island is a place has been praised by everyone who has been there. It has mountains and seas, is clean and pure, and can be regarded as a hidden corner of Zhoushan with less people and beautiful scenery.

Except for Zhujiajian, you have to take a boat to get to other places from Zhoushan. We have sorted out 4 outlying island destinations that are currently under tourism development and have high playability: Daishan Island, Putuo Mountain, Taohua Island, Dongji Island, and Shengsi Islands .

@smile

Daishan County is very close to Zhoushan Island and has Lulan Qingsha, known as the best beach in East China. There are three main islands in the county: Daishan, Xiushan and Qushan. They have natural scenery and cultural customs. It is very easy to visit. The second season of "Running Man" even filmed here.

Daishan Island has the most abundant scenic spots, including the island-ring highway, lighthouse museum, Dongsha Ancient Town, Cape Park... The only drawback may be that the sea is yellow most of the time.

Buddhist culture is the biggest highlight of Mount Putuo . The entire island is a scenic spot, with temples of all sizes scattered throughout. Since the Tang Dynasty, Putuo Mountain has been a Guanyin Dojo. The Buddhist atmosphere has been here for thousands of years and is still very popular today.

The Nanhai Guanyin Statue is a landmark building in Mount Putuo. It is 33 meters high and stands on the seaside overlooking all living beings.

@牛牛

There used to be There is a saying that "If you go to Putuo in the South China Sea to burn incense, you won't burn half as much as Luojia." Luojia Mountain, a small island that takes more than ten minutes to reach from Putuo Mountain by boat, is said to be the place where Guanyin Bodhisattva practiced and became an immortal.

The highlight of Peach Blossom Island, not far from the main island, is the film and television base . In Jin Yong's martial arts masterpiece "The Legend of the Condor Heroes", Huang Yaoshi lived on this small island in eastern Zhejiang. Indeed, many peach blossom trees were planted. This is a suitable place for drama fans to check in, or you can choose to watch the sea and enjoy the flowers when the peach blossoms are in bloom.

@SIWACH

And Dongji Island is a sacred place for literature and art . Here you can watch the first ray of sunrise in the East China Sea, take pictures of stone houses built on the mountains, and visit the legendary "Potala Palace on the Sea". Of course There is also the filming location of "The End of Time", and the entire island is filled with a literary and artistic atmosphere.

@欧生saitama

Dongji is actually the collective name of several small islands . There are many attractions . It is completely worth planning a separate trip .

The properties of Shengsi Islands and Dongji Island are similar, including Si Reef Island (main island), Shengshan Island, Gouqi Island, Flower and Bird Island and other islands. In addition to the unparalleled sea view, there is a unique uninhabited village here. There are no traces of human activity. Green plants cover the houses, turning the village into their territory. The scene is very dreamy.

@Aquarius

Shengsi was developed later, and its attractions and accommodations are not as rich as those on Dongji Island. However, if you are starting from Shanghai, it is much more convenient to go to Shengsi.

@LV小ci

02 – How to get to these islands in Zhoushan?

Currently, the closest high-speed rail station to Zhoushan is Ningbo Station . After exiting the station, transfer to a bus and arrive at Zhoushan. The journey takes about 1.5-2 hours. Of course, you can also take buses directly from nearby cities: Hangzhou and Shanghai take the fastest 4-5 hours, and Ningbo, which is relatively close, even has overnight buses to Zhoushan every day.

@西西爱鱼

For distant cities, you can fly to Ningbo Airport first and take a direct bus from the airport. It would be more convenient if your city has direct flights to Zhoushan (although it is called Putuoshan Airport, it is actually in Zhujiajian, don’t get it wrong).

As for intra-island transportation, the Shenjiamen Banshengdong Pier on the main island of Zhoushan is currently closed for rest, so the routes to various islands have been adjusted.

  • Zhujiajian Centipede Pier: Putuo Mountain, Dongji Island, Shengshan Island

  • Shenjiawan Pier (Shanghai): Gouqi Island, Sijiao Island, Qushan Island

  • Shenjiamen Pier: Taohua Island

  • Sanjiang Pier (main island) : Xiushan Island, Qushan Island (Xiushan has a bridge leading to Daishan Island)

If you are departing from Shanghai, buying a combined train and boat ticket will save you a lot of effort:

  • Shanghai Nanpu Bus Station: Si Jiao Island, Gouqi Island, Daishan Island

  • Shanghai Long-Distance South Station:Si Jiao Island

  • Shanghai Hongqiao Long Distance:Si Jiao Island

Tickets for the ferry within Dongji Island need to be purchased on-site at the pier, so there were a lot of news about queuing up to grab tickets in the early morning. Tickets for the Shengsi Islands can be purchased online in advance. I recommend the "Shengsi Travel" article .

For various routes in Zhoushan, you can download the "Zhoushan Transportation" APP . You can check the routes at a glance and buy tickets directly on it. Ferry tickets in Zhoushan are very popular, especially as the summer vacation is about to begin, so buy them in advance to be prepared.

03- How to choose an island in Zhoushan?

A few days ago a fan asked in the background "Which island in Zhoushan is the most fun? ". This question is really difficult to give a direct answer. Zhoushan’s islands are small but each has its own characteristics.

I have roughly introduced each island to you above. The easiest thing is of course to choose according to your own interests and preferences:

  • Zhoushan Main Island & Zhujiajian: Suitable for shopping and eating on weekends.

  • Daishan Island: Easy island hopping.

  • Peach Blossom Island: Island Film and Television Base, the filming location of "The Legend of the Condor Heroes".

  • Putuo Mountain: Buddhist resort, Guanyin Dojo.

  • Dongji Island: The filming location of "The End of Time" is a small literary island dotted with rocks.

  • Shengsi Islands: Welcome the first ray of sunshine in the East China Sea.

If you want to see the blue sea, then it is more suitable to go to a remote island. The sea water in offshore islands like Putuo Mountain and Zhujiajian is not particularly blue. The weather is also a big deciding factor. It depends on luck.

Choosing a destination according to your own preferences is one way, choosing by transportation is also another way. If it is a family trip, it is not suitable for a trip with too complicated transportation.

I helped you evaluate the difficulty , Zhoushan Island & Zhujiajian (no need to take a boat) Taohua Island & Putuo Mountain (15-20 minutes boat ride)

In terms of accommodation, Zhoushan Island (Hilton, Pullman, Shangri-La, Sheraton), Zhujiajian (Westin) and Mount Putuo (Kaiyuan Temple , Radisson Manor) There are many hotels.

Other outlying islands are dominated by B&Bs, and many of them have good taste. They decorate the houses in a quite stylish way, facing the sea and in a good location.

04 – How to arrange the trip?

There is definitely no way to cover so many islands in Zhoushan in one trip. I think it is more reasonable to arrange it according to your own travel time and transportation.

The last part will give you some actionable routes to Amway, saving you the trouble of searching everywhere for strategies.

① Family Fun Route

Itinerary:Zhoushan Island – Zhujiajian – Putuo Mountain

Time: 3-4 days

This route is hassle-free and focuses on shopping and eating. It is very suitable for families with children or the whole family.

There are not many attractions on the main island of Zhoushan, but the advantage is that the restaurants here are much more affordable than those on the outlying islands, and they have good taste and a lot of choices.

When eating noodles in Zhoushan, you can choose your own ingredients and seafood, and it’s up to you to be rich and frugal. Finally I know how others can eat a bowl of noodles that costs more than 100 yuan.

The Donghe Seafood Market brings together all kinds of seafood that we know or don’t know. Even if you don’t buy it, it’s very eye-opening to browse around.

From wontons to seafood noodles, from seafood markets to seafood feasts in food stalls, it’s not impossible to dedicate a day to the island. Mo Mo has written about Zhoushan food before. Click on the link to get this guide.

As for a place to eat after a meal, I recommend you to visit Dinghai Ancient City . The ancient city preserves old residences from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and literary cafes love to open in these nostalgic alleys.

It is not troublesome to get to the second stop, Zhujiajian. There is a direct bus from Shenjiamen Passenger Transport Center to Zhujiajian, and the journey takes about half an hour. If you don't mind the trouble, you can take the bus, but of course the most convenient way is to take a taxi directly.

Zhujiajian has a long coastline and rich scenic spots. For the paid spots, I recommend you go to Wushitang (beach with relatively blue water), Nansha (lots of recreational activities) and Daqingshan (can camp) .

The scenic spots on the east coast are very dense. Renting a car is the most suitable way to visit Zhujiajian by yourself. It has a high degree of freedom and you can stop at any time to take in the scenery on the road.

It is recommended to choose Dongsha for accommodation. The view of the sunrise over the sea is excellent, and Dongsha itself is a bathing beach with a long beach.

@二哥ererer

The last stop, Putuo Mountain, departs from Zhujiajian's pier by boat, which can be reached in about ten minutes. Before going to the island, you need to buy a large ticket of 160 yuan. There are some temples that require additional fees, but they are not more than 10 yuan.

There are many temples in Putuo Mountain. If you are short of time, you can visit the three most important temples: Puji Zen Temple (for marriage), Fayu Zen Temple and Huiji Zen Temple (for children) .

The one-day tour route can start from Nanhai Guanyin, take the cableway up the mountain, then walk down the mountain, and tour all the way. The temple built on the mountain has beautiful scenery and full of aura.

② Literary and fresh route

Itinerary: Zhujiajian – Dongji Island

Time: 2-4 days

Currently, you can only take a boat to Dongji Island at Zhujiajian Centipede Pier. There are direct buses to the docks in Hangzhou and Shanghai, and the journey takes 3-4 hours. After arriving, take a boat directly to the island. This is the most time-saving method.

Miaozi Lake Island is the main island in the entire East Pole and the place with the highest degree of commercialization. It can be regarded as a tourist distribution center. There are no taxis on the island.If you want to go around the island, you can take a sightseeing bus for 88 yuan/person.

There are no special attractions on Miaozi Lake Island. The scenery on the road is the biggest reward of walking around the island. The simple fishing village style is really beautiful no matter how you take pictures, making people feel peaceful.

@苏一潞

Taking this car also means that you don’t need to check any guides. The driver will take you through all the places on the island with stories and scenery. There is a bird watching platform to watch the sunset, a statue of Chen Caibo, the first person to visit the island, and Dongji Stone Beach where you can enjoy recreational activities...

@苏一潞

The words written on the wall and the wooden boards hanging on the wall along the way remind visitors that this is the filming location of "We Will See You Again".

The other two sightseeing islands in the East Pole are Qingbang Island and Dongfushan Island. Ferry tickets need to be purchased at the pier . Personally, I think there is no need to go to Qingbang Island. The legendary "Potala Palace on the Sea" is actually not that spectacular. It is better to save time and visit Dongfushan Island.

The disadvantage of Dongfushan Island is that most of the roads around the island can only be walked, and there may be no mobile phone signal along the way, but you can get a purer and more original scenery than Miaozi Lake Island. The effort you put in will be rewarded visually.

There are two reasons why Dongfushan Island is attractive and must be visited .

First, this is where the first ray of dawn of the new century shines. Standing in this vibrant place, it seems that you can get some good luck. Of course, no matter what time of day, this is the best place on the island to watch the sunrise.

The second reason is the large-scale stone house complex on the island. Like Pingtan Island in Fujian, the islanders near the sea use local materials and build houses with stones to resist the erosion of the sea wind.

These houses are now uninhabited and lack the vitality of life, but they have a more lonely beauty, which is very photogenic.

@TIC watermelon melon

You can eat and stay on all three islands, no matter which one you choose to stay in. The return journey can only be done along the original route, first back to Miaozi Lake, and then back to Zhujiajian by boat.

Vibrant island hopping route

Itinerary:

1) Zhujiajian Centipede Pier - Shengshan/Wolfberry - Flower and Bird Island

2) Shanghai Station – Sijiao/Shengshan/Wolfberry – Flower and Bird Island

Time: 3-5 days

The Shengsi Islands can be traveled from Shanghai (which is closer) or from the main island of Zhoushan. The farthest Flower and Bird Island can only be reached by transferring to the islands in the Shengsi Islands. However, it is said that the B&B owner has a way to buy direct ferry tickets. If you have bought one, you can raise your hand in the message area.

It would take 4-5 days to visit all these islands. If you are short of time, I suggest wolfberry + flowers and birds. The Si Jiao Island that I ignored is the main island of the Shengsi Islands. You can rent a small electric donkey to get around the island. Although the scenery here is also good, there is a fee for the beach. It is better to go to the other two islands to see the sea water is bluer.

@ SEM’s mother’s two chicks

Starting from the Xiaocaiyuan Pier in Sajiao Island, you can reach other islands in the archipelago.

There is a cross-sea bridge connecting Gouqi Island and Shengshan Island. You can charter a car to visit the island. The classic way to play is to watch the sunrise on the cliffs of Dongya, watch the sunset on the strange mountains and seas, and then go for a walk in the green uninhabited village.

Gouqi Island is rich in all kinds of mussels, so the restaurants on the island are particularly good at fancy boiled mussels, which are extremely delicious.

Because Flower and Bird Island is the farthest, the water is naturally the bluest. Like Putuo Mountain, you need to pay an entrance fee to go to the island, 65 yuan/person.

This island is very small. The longest main road is only 5 kilometers, so walking is enough to explore it. The island has a daily limit of 200 people, which guarantees a good gaming experience.

@yaoimpression

Many people say that Flower and Bird Island is "Little Santorini" because the houses on the island are uniformly painted blue and white. Although this metaphor is a bit exaggerated, these houses built on the mountains are indeed very photogenic.

If you are lucky if you come from June to September, you can catch blue tears on the beach. Looking up is the Milky Way, and looking down is the fluorescent sea. The scene is really romantic.

If you take a walk around the island, you will definitely come across the neatly arranged windmills on the island. They are an excellent background for taking photos. You don’t need any strategies to visit Flower and Bird Island. The scenery is beautiful just by walking along the coast.

Regarding accommodation on these outlying islands, I recommend that you stay near the pier. Firstly, it saves time. Secondly, there are usually restaurants gathered near the pier, making it convenient to eat.

In addition, it is not recommended that you go to the island during festivals. The islands in Zhoushan are not large, which means that the number of passengers they can carry is limited. Not only is housing extremely expensive during holidays, but getting tickets is also a big deal. The experience of an overcrowded island is naturally missing, and the point of going to the island to find peace is lost.

On an island separated from the land, life is no longer 996 and involution, and the authority of nature is above all else. The sky, waves, forests, small animals... they are the keys to slow down time and make your mood cheerful.

Hiding on a secluded island and becoming an islander for a few days is a wish that Zhoushan can help you easily realize.
