I haven’t traveled far for a long time. I have been living in Suzhou for many years. I feel that the days have passed very quickly. It has been many years in the blink of an eye. I have never thought that I must go out to see...
Why do you like the feeling of being on the road? I probably feel my own existence clearly, see many unfamiliar scenery, and walk many lands that I may never have the chance to set foot on again.
I originally wanted to record my thoughts every day, but I was too exhausted every day. Finally, n days after the northwest tour, I started to think about organizing this trip. I plan to write this article as a guide. If you want to go, you can refer to it.
day1:
When the plane landed in Xining, I was very excited. I finally escaped from the rainy season in the south of the Yangtze River. The blue sky and white clouds I hadn't seen for a long time were also particularly beautiful. Doudou wanted to eat Ma Yidao Barbecue and said it was recommended in the documentary "A String of Life" and she must go. So I booked a hotel in the city center. After arriving at the hotel, I took a short rest and then checked in.
day2:
I wanted to go to the Qinghai Museum for renovation, so I went to Beichen Temple-Nanzen Temple-Geometry Bookstore.
After arriving at Beichen Temple, I discovered that climbing was not allowed on the mountain, so I could only walk around in a Taoist temple down below. The plants here grew very sparsely, and the flowers bloomed very well.
Nanzen Temple is a Buddhist temple. I didn’t go in, but just climbed the mountain outside. The sun in Xining was very strong, but the air was really cool, so I took a bird’s-eye view from a high place and sat waiting for the Doudou who had climbed up the mountain to come down. In the distance I don’t know who is singing, it looks like some kind of ritual hymn.
After that, after driving for a long time, I checked into the Geometry Bookstore in Xining. The interior of the bookstore is large and the decoration style is quite unique, but the overall feeling is still a bit like the Eslite Bookstore in Suzhou. Doudou and I didn't buy books, she bought souvenirs, and I sent Chaka postcards to my friends.
Passing by a doll shop, I was a little surprised. Doudou and I each bought a puppet. The one on the left is an elephant and the one on the right is Xiaoguang. Because we took photos with us on the big loop later, let’s focus on it first.
day3:
Because the 7-day Qinggan-Gansu Loop will officially start tomorrow, we only went to Kumbum Monastery on the third day.
Kumbum Monastery is one of the six major monasteries of the Gelug Sect (Yellow Sect) of Tibetan Buddhism in China. Because I was busy before the trip, I did not make a special guide. After entering, it was obvious that I could feel the exotic style. We also saw butter flowers, and piles. Embroidery (a bit like a thangka made of cloth), but I didn’t see any murals.
At Kumbum Monastery, facing the Golden Buddha and listening to some stories of Tibetan Buddhism, I suddenly felt a special mood. A life of faith takes the shortest way to reach the heart, and I live a life of determination and piety.
But then again, who in this world would be willing to be the reincarnation of a Buddha worshiped by all living beings? No wonder Tsangyang Gyatso hopes that the world will be safe and secure, and that he will live up to the Tathagata and live up to you. I'm probably the most boring tourist ever.
day4:
On the first day of the official loop, the arrangement was very practical. We went to Laji Mountain - Qinghai Lake - Chaka Salt Lake - and stayed in Chaka Town.
When the car turned around and drove into the mountains, the blue sky, white clouds, green grass and white sheep suddenly appeared in my mind: cows and sheep were seen on the grass in the wind. Every frame is a computer screensaver, it’s so beautiful.
Because of the altitude, you have to speak slowly for a while, you can't speak in long paragraphs continuously, and you have to pay attention to every discomfort in your body at all times. Outside the car window were endless mountains and vast tracts of pasture. The land suddenly became very vast. Probably because I particularly liked British natural gardens, I forgot the discomfort of the altitude for a while and got out of the car to embrace nature.
When I arrived at Qinghai Lake, I felt what the water and the sky were like. The natural scenery was so intoxicating.
Since the sunset in the northwest has not yet arrived, we made arrangements in advance for the Chaka Salt Lake we planned. When we arrived at Chaka, the Sky Realm, it was already seven or eight o'clock. Although the sun had not set yet, by the time we took the small train to the scenic spot , I happened to take some pictures of the blue sky and white clouds, watched the sunset, and had a lot of fun wading in the water.
I had a lot of fun in Chaka, and the day was very practical. When I walked in Chaka, I felt very happy. However, from the perspective of scenic spots, Chaka is not as good as Dongtai Jinai Lake, nor can it be compared to Dongtai Jinai Lake. The key to Emerald Lake is that the two lakes below are free of charge, so if you go there from the perspective of attractions, it is not highly recommended.
But if you don’t even think about coming, just go and punch in ~ it’s only 110 yuan.
I stayed in Chaka Town at night. I liked the hotel in the town very much.
day5:
On the second day of the loop, I traveled for a long time, mainly visiting the Qaidam Basin - Emerald Lake - and staying in Dachaidan.
In the Qaidam Basin, I mainly looked at the landforms. I didn’t get out of the car to watch or take any decent photos, so I mainly went to see the Emerald Lake the next day.
Because it is a salt lake, the water is very clear and there are no plants or creatures, so it is very beautiful. However, it was quite windy and gloomy when I went there. After playing for a while, I got on the bus and felt that the natural scenery of the Northwest is only beautiful if it is photographed from the air.
day6：
On the third day of the loop, we set off from Dachaidan and checked in to National Highway 315 (the most beautiful highway) - Shuishui Yadan - Dongtai Jinair Lake - accommodation in Dachaidan.
There are deserts on both sides of Highway 315. It was my first time to see a desert and I was very happy. Many people took photos on the roadside, but they were still driving. It was quite dangerous to take photos at the right time. Doudou and I took many photos in the desert area next to the road.
The light is very beautiful. The photos I took of Doudou are all very good, but not my own. All in all, it is a good place to take photos, but I still think you need to pay attention to safety when taking photos on the road. I saw some people taking photos stubbornly and boldly, but the big car next to them was still a little scared. Be safe be safe.
I was delayed for a long time in taking photos. When I arrived at Shuiyadan, I took a look outside. I didn’t go inside the scenic spot, so I won’t introduce it much. Next, we will focus on Jinai Lake in Dongtai, Amway, which is really a desperate situation on earth.
Dongtai Jinair Lake is located in Golmud City, in the Qaidam Basin. It is a typical salt lake. The clear lake water and the white crystalline salt hitting the shore look like a colorful ribbon on the earth from a distance. It constitutes a desperate situation in the world. I didn't know that there was such a beautiful scenery in the world. While I was sighing at the uncanny workmanship of nature, I was very excited that I could see such a beautiful scenery.
My advice to girls is to wear red clothes, preferably a skirt, when taking photos in the desert. When taking photos by the lake, remember to wear a bright long skirt, sun protection clothing or a tighter hat, because the wind is really strong. Also remember to prepare a pair of slippers, just for treading water!
day7:
On the fourth day of the Grand Ring Line, we started from Daqaidan and checked in Qinghai Yadan Devil City - Aksai Oil Town - Yangguan - Desert Camping.
The scenery, grasslands, and landforms on the road were all beautiful, but I fell asleep in the no-man’s land and didn’t see it.
When we arrived at Aksai Oil Town, although the ticket price was very cheap, we didn't watch "Nine-Story Demon Tower" so we had no intention of checking in. When we got off the bus, we arrived at Yangguan.
It is said to be Yangguan. There are almost no traces and it is not very playable. However, it is considered a landmark and is still worth a visit. Remember the sentence: "I advise you to drink another glass of wine. There will be no old friends when you leave Yangguan in the west." The elder brother of the guard said that the people in Yangguan are mainly soldiers fighting, businessmen doing business, and people who seek Buddha.
If you don’t have a customs clearance certificate, you should remember the knowledge points. The elder brother is a bit "terribly cute" when he is serious.
In the evening, I went to the desert camping base. It was my first time camping and I was a little excited.
The moon was particularly big at night. Although I didn’t take any photos with my phone, it was really surprising.
During the day, I did a desert motorcycle. The speed was a bit scary, but it was thrilling and surprising. I recommend you try it. We also rode a camel, so cute! However, the camel is still a bit scary when getting up and landing, but I still feel it is much safer than riding a horse.
In the evening, I went sandboarding and watched the sunset, and fell asleep again after a beautiful and happy day.
The temperature difference in the desert is very large. As soon as the sun sets, the desert becomes extremely cold. When you wake up in the morning, you almost go crazy from the cold. It is recommended to prepare thicker clothes.
day8：
On the fifth day of the Grand Ring Route, we checked in to Mogao Grottoes-Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring-Dunhuang accommodation.
The fifth day of the itinerary is the attraction that I have the highest expectations for this time, and it can be said that I came here because of its reputation.
Visiting the Mogao Grottoes, I discovered that people's beliefs can be so powerful, but in essence they are all expectations for a better vision. I visited 8 caves and the tour guide’s explanation was so good that I went back that day to make up the history of the Hexi Corridor.
This ice cream tastes like pudding, but because the shape is very interesting, I bought it to try it out. It is worth mentioning that Dunhuang's cultural and creative products are very good. I think the level of sophistication is comparable to that of Taobao in the Forbidden City. It is very good. like.
In the evening, we went to Crescent Moon Spring. Because we lived at the foot of the mountain, it was not too far to walk. The Crescent Moon Spring is still worth a bird's-eye view of, and it was worth my while to climb the sand dunes. By the way, the bathroom building in Mingsha Mountain is very beautiful! (What am I recommending?? Haha)
I went to Dunhuang Night Market in the evening and had late-night snacks. It tasted very delicious. It is a place I want to go to again.
day9：
On the sixth day of the Grand Ring Line, we started from Dunhuang - Guazhou - the most powerful pass in the world - Zhangye Colorful Danxia Geopark - accommodation in Zhangye Danxia.
I really couldn't bear to leave Dunhuang, but I still have to go. Guazhou is probably a place that sells melons. I didn't buy any. I didn't have anything to recommend. I also looked at Jiayuguan and there was a general named Feng Sheng. But I’m not familiar with it, so I won’t introduce it to you. The happiest thing was checking in at Zhangye Colorful Danxia.
The venue is really too big, so I highly recommend the last stop, which directly kills the scenery in front. Wow, it’s really amazing. I have to lament that I still see too little of the world. Amway gives it to everyone.
Zhangye also has a lot of history and culture. Sometimes going out to play can be regarded as opening another door to knowledge, reminding myself to keep learning. When looking at the scenery, I feel very healed.

day10：
The last day of the Grand Ring Line, Zhangye-Qilian Mountain-Gangshika Snow Peak-Menyuan-Xining.
The scenery on the road is also very beautiful. It is also very happy to stop to take pictures and enjoy the breeze.
I went to the Qilian Mountains Prairie. The grassland is beautiful and very open. It was my first time riding a horse, and I even started running. Oh my god, it was so bumpy. It completely ruined the romance in my mind of "riding a horse and galloping to share the prosperity of the world." But it was still worth a try. The key point was that my little brother also chose a horse for me. 55 racehorses.
After seeing rapeseed flowers in Menyuan, I finally understood what rapeseed flowers look like in summer.
Finally, the journey to the Northwest is over. Since I didn’t take any photos of the food I ate on the way, there were some pitfalls, and some of them were just filling my stomach, so I have nothing to recommend.
Although it is tiring, the view is worth it!
