East Pole of China · Fuyuan

Last time mentioned: Parking by the Ussuri River and watching the sunset...

I got up and walked along the river this morning. I saw local people bathing and washing clothes by the river. It was very lively.

People who take baths and wash clothes

The most primitive method of washing clothes - beating clothes with a mallet

White clouds float one by one on the mountain peaks

The sculptures on the riverside represent the past lifestyle of local people, fishing and hunting

Today we set off for Fuyuan, the easternmost point of China's landmass and the first place in China to see the sun. It is known as the "Eastern Pole of China". It faces Russia to the east and north across the Heilongjiang and Ussuri rivers.

The road to Fuyuan is straight

There are prairie and trees on both sides of the road, the most primitive ecology

Encountered a large swamp wetland

I can't help but stop the car and feel it

The original wetland here is so beautiful

The endless rice fields in Beidahuang

Heehee, I got sleepy after looking at the beautiful scenery, so I slept on my lap.

The wild little squirrels caught in the fishing gear shop are so cute, but unfortunately they are not free and are thinner than the squirrels we saw in Changbai Mountain.

The road to downtown Fuyuan is under construction and the ground is full of potholes. We should really go to the expressway.

Passing by Dalijia Lake, I felt dazed looking at the lake, and time seemed to have stopped.

Fishing boats lie quietly in the lake

Arrive at the first county in the East - Fuyuan City (now a county-level city)

Fuyuan Sculpture

Temporarily parked in front of the Fuyuan People's Hall building, the sunset is particularly beautiful

Uncles and aunties danced square dance around the whole square, which was very lively

Fuyuan’s delicacies mainly focus on river fish - salmon, croaker, bream, bream, sturgeon, carp, crucian carp, etc. It’s so delicious that your mouth is watering. You have to taste it in person to feel it.

Sturgeon, 78 yuan/catty, one fish head weighs two catties

Braised bream fish, 68 yuan/piece, tastes very refreshing

Carp stuffed dumplings

Fish ball soup, real ingredients, with a little fish bones in it

Tonight's all-fish feast was delicious, but a bit tooth-filling

Parking at Fuyuan Port at night

A full moon hangs above the clouds, with Venus as a foil, which is very artistic.

It’s also spectacular when the clouds cover the moon

Next to it is the Fish Museum, which I heard is worth a visit. There are seats made of fish skin, and the ticket price is 50 yuan.

The night is getting dark, and the lights are reflected in the Ussuri River

Walking along the river

Late at night, I went back to the RV to rest.

The next day, I went to Wusu Town to get the postmark stamped, and then went to the famous Dongji Square.

Passing through the streets and alleys, there are Dongji sculptures painted on the walls

There is a Dongji youth hotel hidden in a small alley

The scenery on the way to Wusu Town is vast.

Arrive at Wusu Town, and then discover that Wusu Town actually refers to Zhuoji Town, but Wusu Town has a good reputation, and now it will be renamed Wusu Town.

China's easternmost postal service - Zhuoji Postal Service , will cease to exist and become Wusu Town Postal Service.

I bought a rare China East Pole commemorative stamp album, and I may never sell it again.

Farewell to the town of Chaoji, the scenery of Russian mountains and rivers is very beautiful

Hehehe, I can see it

Suddenly I felt a little pain in my foot. I lowered my head and looked... What is this?

Arrive at Dongji Plaza and park here tonight

East Pole Sculpture - East, China's first ray of sunshine appears here

Next to it are road signs, marking the direction and mileage to Beijing, Shanghai, New York, London, Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo and other places. It would be better if the Chinese Arctic, West Pole and Antarctica could be added.

Stand on the tower and enjoy the panoramic view of the square

Very spectacular

The other side is China’s first outpost

Go to bed early tonight and share the good news in advance. Tomorrow we will take wedding photos in the East Pole of China, and we will soon take photos of all four poles of China during this trip around China! Is it particularly meaningful?
