Street view ledger

I like to stroll around the streets of Sapa, and of course I have to be led by Tony. I wait for the traffic lights, cross the zebra crossing, walk down the alleys, and look at the old houses, so that I can feel like I have really been here. Because this trip was more casual, and it always took half a day to see the street scenes or visit the market, so I concentrated on the fragments of memory.

The streets of Sabah are a bit exotic, and there are small attractions wherever you go. At the Modica Independence Square, Tony talked a lot about the history of Sabah. He was very impressed at the time, but unfortunately he forgot about it later. The plants in the square are so beautiful that I can’t even name them. The huge leaves and huge flowers mean that the rain and sunshine here are very strong.

The Atkinson Bell Tower on the street is actually very small. It is named after a county official and has its own connotations. The time of the photo I took was at 3:47 pm, which is very beautiful. a photograph. The Sabah Tourism Bureau we saw later also has a story. It is said that after World War II, only three buildings in the entire Sabah city were not destroyed by the bombing. The clock tower and the Tourism Bureau that survived were listed as historical relics and were protected. I found that Southeast Asian countries all have a history of being invaded and colonized, and they hate war very much.

The old streets have experienced vicissitudes of life, while the new streets are modern. The Sabah Foundation Building is very shiny and dazzling. At first glance, it looks like a cylinder built in the air, showing great architectural skills. I only saw a small stall nearby. The stall owner didn't understand Chinese. Fortunately, he only sold three or four kinds of freshly ground coffee. I bought it after a quick sign. It tasted very good.

I visited the outside of the Water Mosque. The entire building rose from the water. It was so unique. A black plane flew over the dome. It was indescribably beautiful. It is said that the scenery you see here on a full moon night is even more magnificent, and you can only envy others for their blessings. My former classmate wore her hat backwards and wandered coolly among these exquisite buildings. I don’t know whether it was the beautiful scenery that made her look 30 years younger, or whether it was the mood of traveling that made her younger. She looked like a little girl in the photos.

After dinner, I went to a market under an overpass. It was similar to the markets selling local specialties in various countries. I bought a few boxes of Sabah black tea, the imperial concubine drank a large pile of Musang King durian, and Qibao drank a box of durian ice cream. Here is a reminder: Ice cream and popsicles are not allowed on the tour bus. Everyone should know the common sense of outbound travel. When we Chinese aunts travel abroad, we are often ridiculed and despised, which is also related to our ignorance of the regulations. When we write travel notes, we write down these regulations or customs of various places, etc., so as to avoid us from violating taboos due to lack of understanding.
