Western Ring Road Self-Driving Tour
Get up at seven in the morning and go out at eight.
The plan for the day was to go to the strange forest to take pictures of the sunset in the afternoon, so there was plenty of time to wander around in the morning. It was westward, and the sun at eight o'clock was not very high.
After staying by the river for a while, I headed north towards the border. Judging from the police station signs on Luyu, this area is under the jurisdiction of Supo Nur Sumu. The so-called Supo Nao'er refers to Dongju Yanhai, the tail lake of Heishui River.
There was no one along the way, except for a few sheep grazing.
At the end of the road is the Ceke Port, which seems to be mainly used for imported coal. The roadside is dark and full of coal ash. The port is small and can be visited in two minutes.
On the way back, we passed Cehe Gacha and drove westward along the side road. It was in this area that I saw the most beautiful Populus euphratica forest I had seen on this trip. It was much stronger than the one in Erdaoqiao, and there were almost no people there, so I could enjoy the beautiful scenery to myself.
The poplar trees in this area are all very strong. I don’t know how many years it will take for them to grow like this.
In addition to Populus euphratica, Strange Willow also grows very densely.
This morning, this unexpected beauty met my expectations for Ejina.
