The time is too short, so I can only skip it briefly. It is just for entertainment.

After going down the mountain from the Tea Horse Inn, we first saw the Tiger Leaping Gorge and the Tiger Leaping Gorge before stopping here!

A place where Internet celebrities check in,

This is a must-see place for all Tiger Leaping Gorge itineraries. You can’t capture it in photos, but it’s better to see the video. It’s the rapid river rushing down and surging. I heard from friends that we went at the wrong time, but it was quite shocking when they went there.

Instead, I was very interested in the bridge on the other side of the river. I asked the staff. On the other side of the river is the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, which belongs to Lijiang City. On our side is the Haba Snow Mountain, which belongs to Shangri-La City. Both sides of the Tiger Leaping Gorge have built their own bridges. The bridge on the other side of the bridge is their viewing platform. It is reached through a tunnel on foot for 2.5 kilometers. It has been closed for the past two years because of the construction of a highway nearby.

The same scenic spot, but different administrative systems, are managed from their own perspectives and locations.

Below is the sightseeing elevator that goes down to Tiger Leaping Gorge. It costs 70 RMB for the whole trip, RMB 30 for one way down and RMB 50 for one way up.

We took the stairs, and it was okay going down. It was a little difficult to go up, which was manageable.

Simply check in and visit here, the recommendation index is 2.5 points.

To expand, the nearby roads are under construction, and people in the entire mountainous area have to rely on this road to get out, because going further into the mountains is the river, and crossing the river belongs to Lijiang. Therefore, the administrative divisions and sense of belonging of the people in the mountains are all in the same direction as where we are. Children in the mountains have primary schools nearby Tiger Leaping Gorge Town Primary School, and middle schools in Shangri-La City.

It's quite hard for people in the mountains to think about the outside world.

We set off for Shangri-La.

Go to the ancient city of Dukezong to look for food.

It's a little rainy and deserted. There are almost no tourists. The buildings look a bit antique, but the modern ancient city has a visual feel. The recommendation index is 2 points.

We found a restaurant owned by a Chongqing native who has been coming to Shangri-La for 15 years. The boss chatted with us and it was interesting. Looking at tourists from a different perspective, he said that he liked tourists from Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou the most. They have strong spending power and are willing to spend whatever they like. , people from Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou come here, and everything they see is very fresh and beautiful. In recent years, due to the epidemic, fewer people from Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou come here. Most of them from Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan, they spent more than 100 tickets to go in and have a look with themselves. Just like home, there will be unhappiness.

The boss has been here for 15 years. At this time of year, although it is rainy and off-season, there seem to be too few people. How can we make money?

Parking is not allowed in the ancient city. All parking is in the parking lot. The parking fee is 3 yuan per hour and 1 yuan for every half-hour increment.

Set off again to Songzanlin Monastery. Tickets are a bit tricky, 90R, including fare and explanation. The fare and the explanation are a bit bundled with consumption. I have no intention of offending the temple, but I am very critical of the local government for enclosing a large area of residential buildings and temples. Either you clear the place, or you charge less tickets. I seriously doubt it. This application does not meet the 90 fee standard, so I deliberately bundled the bus fare and explanation. A small detail made me guess that you can skip the bus. In fact, it is something that can be handled by a one-way 2R bus. There are also two problems with this explanation. First, Tourists may not happen to meet the guide when they go there, and may have to wait. Secondly, the explanation is also very simple. It briefly introduces the site selection, Feng Shui orientation, etc., which takes about 15 minutes. Most of the time is left to tourists. Feel the atmosphere of a Tibetan Buddhist monastery. Even the tour guide himself said that if you think the 90 yuan ticket is not worth it, you can go to the willow forest below and walk around again...

There are many residential buildings, and it is said that it is difficult to clear the place. Clearing the place also loses the meaning of the temple. It was originally meant to bless the Buddha, bring salvation to all living beings, and wish all living beings peace and prosperity.

Then we went to the Napa Sea Observation Deck to overlook the entire Napa Sea. We were in a hurry, the season was not right, and the weather was not good, so we didn't have time to appreciate its beauty.

Then rush to Pudacuo National Forest Park.

The hotel we booked is in the scenic area, Youyou Manor

The view from the hotel entrance

Tibetan houses diagonally opposite the hotel

When I entered the room, I was a little surprised and surprised. There were actually herds of yaks outside the window!

There are three villages near the hotel. We wanted to visit them on foot, but the rain was too heavy and we were forced to give up.

Due to lack of time, we could only walk around the hotel in the morning and then rush to the airport.

This hotel belongs to a subsidiary of Yunnan Urban Investment Group and is a poverty alleviation project. The hotel provides a subsidy of 20,000 yuan to each household in nearby Tibetan villages every year. Tibetans no longer operate B&Bs and restaurants on their own initiative, even if tourists actively request to visit Tibetans It is also not allowed to host meals at home. Hotels are worried that tourists may encounter food hygiene problems or disputes when visiting Tibetan homes, and the hotel will have to resolve them. In the final discussion, the hotel subsidy was RMB 20,000 per household, totaling RMB 700,000 in compensation per year.

Tibetan villagers in the scenic area receive a subsidy of 5,000 yuan per person every year. Generally, a family of four will receive a subsidy of 20,000 yuan.

Due to the epidemic, the hotel has been unable to sustain operations in the past two years and has almost closed down. Last year's annual turnover totaled 1.1 million yuan, and this year may be even worse because the reception of tourists from outside the province was stopped during the three months of the peak season from June to July due to the epidemic.

Hotel employees must hire nearby villagers, and scenic area employees must also hire them, such as cleaning, to solve their employment problems.

Nearby villagers can also pick matsutake mushrooms from the mountains in the scenic area, earning about 50,000 yuan a year. The matsutake mushrooms here are of good quality because they are protected and pollution-free.

After driving to the hotel, the staff repeatedly warned not to drive freely in the scenic area.

Eating can only be done at the hotel.

I tried their yak hotpot in the evening, the Dianping set meal was 208. It was delicious, especially the beef and tripe. It was so delicious that I wanted to go back to Shanghai and find another place to try it.

The rice noodles for breakfast are also great!

So although it is a bit expensive, the taste is still authentic and worthy of praise👍

A small scene in the center of the hotel

Due to time constraints, we did not buy tickets to go in, which was a pity.

If you are an independent traveler, it is highly recommended to stay in a hotel in this scenic spot. Firstly, the Shangri-La urban area is probably very ordinary to live in. It is still a little way to get here, and the drive takes about an hour. Secondly, you can support this poverty alleviation project and let them Going further, the experience of Sanlai itself is also very good. There is a feeling of integration. Because of this compensation, the Tibetans and the hotel do not interfere with each other and complement each other, making you feel as if you are immersed in their world and their home. The yaks get up early every day and go out to forage, and go home at sunset. They live here, isolated from the world, and live in harmony with nature, the Tibetans, and the yaks. They eat their grass and you take your photos.

Recommendation index, 4 points

Except for Pudacuo National Park, I feel like all the others are a series of visits here. If I don’t go, I feel as if I have never been there and feel missing.

If we have time in the future, we will go to Youyou Manor to graze yaks together😀
