More than 1,300 years ago, the poet Li Bai once wrote: "Oh, how dangerous it is! The road to Shu is as difficult as climbing to the sky! There are thickets of silkworms and fish, how confused is the founding of the country! You are forty-eight thousand years old, if you don't follow Qin Sai is full of people. There is a bird path in Taibai in the west, which can cross the top of Emei.

Nowadays, with airplanes and high-speed trains, the way to Sichuan is no longer difficult.
I set off from Changsha at around 8 o'clock on April 25, 2021. It took more than 3 hours to fly to Chengdu. After another half-hour high-speed train ride, I arrived in Guanghan, Sichuan in the afternoon. Check into the hotel called "Qushangyuan", which is not far from Sanxingdui Museum.

Sanxingdui Museum was specially built for the excavation of Sanxingdui ruins.

Can the excavation of the Sanxingdui ruins solve Li Bai's question: "Why was the founding of the country so confused among the silkworms and fishtails?"

My feeling after visiting can only be described as "shocked".

Introduction in the museum: Shu civilization started from the founding of Cancong and was divided into several periods: Cancong clan, Baiguan clan, Yufu clan, Du Yu clan and Kaiming clan. The word "Shu" was first discovered in the oracle bone inscriptions of the Shang Dynasty. It is recorded that the Shu people helped King Wu when he conquered Zhou. However, the history of Shu has not been recorded in detail in pre-Qin documents. It was not until Chang Xu's "Huayang Guozhi·Shu Zhi" in the Eastern Jin Dynasty that the history and legends about Shu were recorded.

"Huayang Guozhi-Shu Zhi" says: "There was a Shu lord named Silkworm Cong, whose eyes were straight, and he was first called the king. The second king was called Baiguan. The second king was called Yufu."

Here is the largest collection of bronze human heads and masks unearthed at one time in the world. Their purpose is "vertical".

This one is more "vertical", like wearing a telescope.

There is the largest bronze portrait in the world. Standing in front of him, you will definitely ask: Who are you, where are you from, and why are you in the world of ancient Shu.

There is the earliest and longest gold scepter discovered in the world, which is engraved with human heads, fish and bird patterns. The Golden Rod dates from around 4000 BC to 3600 BC. Is it from the Fish King? The scepter is more like a symbol of power in Egypt or Mesopotamia. I traveled to Jordan in 2016. On Mount Nebo in Jordan, there stood a huge Moses rod.

There is the earliest and tallest bronze sacred tree in the world. At 3.95 meters high, it is also the largest single bronze artifact discovered in the world. The branches of the sacred tree are divided into three layers, with three branches in each layer. There are two fruit branches on the branches, one upward and one downward. There are nine birds standing on the fruits of the upward fruit branches. There is a dragon-edge tree meandering down from the side of the tree.

The sacred tree is actually exactly the same as the hibiscus tree described in the ancient pre-Qin Dynasty book "Shan Hai Jing" 4,000 years ago. The age of the bronze sacred tree is more than 3,000 years ago. Is this myth or history, reality or coincidence?

There is also this 2.62-meter-tall bronze Dali man that dates back more than 3,000 years. It is the tallest and most complete standing bronze statue in the world. It can be called the "King of Bronze Statues in the World".

He wears a high crown on his head, three layers of clothing with narrow sleeves and a half-arm style, and anklets on his feet. He stands barefoot on a square monster seat. The exquisite and delicate production is breathtaking.

A masked human head and half a gold mask weighing over 500 grams. It felt like the pharaoh of ancient Egypt came to visit me.

In addition to the heavyweights, the small items are also exquisite.

"It has been sleeping for thousands of years, and when it wakes up it shocks the world." The excavation of Sanxingdui ruins has unearthed one mystery after another. On the one hand, the various cultural relics have advanced craftsmanship and exquisite skills; on the other hand, there are no written records.

I am not an archaeologist, and I am not interested in the various legends in the market.
"The earth collapses and the mountains destroy the strong men to death, and then the stone stacks of the ladder to heaven are connected together." The Sanxingdui civilization suddenly disappeared. Was it an earthquake?
Either a natural disaster or a man-made disaster. Although the Sanxingdui civilization suddenly disappeared, the thousands of years of life of the ancestors of the ancient Shu Kingdom have also been laid out in the changes of time, forming scattered imprints on the earth. All the magnificence and insignificance of the past are mysteries and charming charms.
When describing this unique charm, my words are lacking: bizarre, strange and strange...
There is only one word "shock", a powerful artistic shock!

Giant pandas have lived on the earth for at least 8 million years and are known as "living fossils" and "China's national treasures." The Sanxingdui ruins are about 4,800 years old. Some of the cultural relics unearthed there are the largest in the world and are also China's national treasures. These two long-standing national treasures are located in the same land of the ancient Shu Kingdom, so they must have a mysterious origin.

It's an hour's drive from Sanxingdui to the Panda Base. Most of the pandas are sleeping. Of course, they won't sleep for thousands of years, they just take a nap.
