Summer Travel Notes | Let’s go to the small domestic islands!

Although it is now inconvenient for people in Wuhan to travel out of the province, "Archaeology"'s past travel diaries are also good. I won’t consider traveling abroad this year. You can try more domestic niche travel destinations. The great rivers and mountains of our motherland are still worth exploring.
 
Today I will share with you an island that not many people know well - Long Island.
 

To go to Changdao, you can go to Yantai first and take a taxi from Yantai city to Penglai . You can get to the island in an hour by ferry. There are many ferries, so it's easy to arrange your time.

Changdao is divided into South Island and North Island . They have different attractions. Generally, 1 to 2 days is suitable if you only visit the island.

 

The North Island recommends the "Jiuzhang Cliff" scenic spot, and the South Island recommends the "Linhai-Fengshan" scenic spot. If you are pressed for time, you can visit the North and South Islands in one day. If you want to relax, stay on the island for one night and spend one day at one attraction.

It is a very amazing scenic spot. It takes 1 to 2 hours to walk down the entire area. It is recommended to go in the afternoon and watch the sunset on the edge of the cliff. It is very beautiful. The sea breeze was strong and the waves were strong, and the sunset was beautiful. It was probably the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen.
 
Walking along the bottom of the cliff, it is said to be a road, but it is actually a naturally formed stone trail . If you take two steps, you will encounter naughty small waves, which may wet your shoes, so be careful to waterproof them. Anti-slip~
 
The advantage of exploring niche attractions is that even during the peak summer travel season, the crowds here are not too dense and you can take good "tourist photos" at will without having to experience crowds or queues. torture.
 
The sea is really blue and the weather is great. It is not inferior to foreign islands. The richness of the rocky landscape . The islands I visited before Most of them are from Southeast Asia, focusing on beaches and diving This "combination punch" of stone, mountain and sea was a bit unexpected to me.

South Island "Linhai-Fengshan"
 
As its name suggests, what you can see here is the perfect fusion of mountain and sea. From the top of the mountain, you can overlook the entire Changdao Island, as well as the Bohai Sea Decomposition Monument. Looking down, you can clearly see the natural boundaries of different colors of sea water.

When you come down from the mountain, you can walk slowly along the seaside plank road. There is a whole section of glass plank road. Taking pictures in this area is very beautiful. Walking to a section of White Pebble Beach, you can also take photos and check in. Although the foot feel is not as good as fine sand, it is still a different style.
There is a battery car ride in this scenic spot, which costs 35 yuan/person. It is recommended to sit , otherwise there will be too much walking. And there is no particularly interesting scenery along the way. If you spend too much time and energy climbing up and down, you won’t be interested in taking pictures elsewhere.
 
The above two attractions are worth seeing on the island of Changdao . In fact, there are some other small attractions (which will be included in the big tickets and chartered routes), but I personally think these two are the most worth seeing. , other attractions are average. You can spend more time taking a walk by yourself. There is a section of the slow lane that is actually quite beautiful . It comes in three colors and is very suitable for taking pictures.
 
· Island transportation & food, drink & accommodation ·
 

  • Transportation: There is no public transportation on the island . You can either book a chartered car (you can make an appointment online or at a hotel, the price is the same and there is no need to negotiate) or call a taxi or hail a taxi (taxi They all directly say that the price is not listed and can be reduced appropriately).

     

  • Accommodation: The commercial development of South Island is relatively complete, with many larger hotels and more luxurious B&Bs . North Island has little development and is mostly private fishing resorts. We stayed at Yujiale (100~150 yuan/room), and the accommodation conditions were generally acceptable.

  • Food and drink: There are restaurants in Beidao, but not many. We all ate at Yujiale. Breakfast is 10 yuan per person. Lunch and dinner can be ordered a la carte or calculated per head. The taste is okay and the price is not cheap.

Finally, let me share with you, if you want to visit Long Island, how to get there and where you can visit.
 
Because Changdao is in Yantai, if you want to go there, fly to Yantai first. Other scenic spots in the city include Yantai Mountain, bathing beaches, etc. Yantai Mountain is not bad, it is free, and the architectural photos are more beautiful.
 
Opposite Changdao is Penglai. If you are interested, you can go to Penglai Pavilion. I didn’t go to this, so I can’t comment on whether it’s fun~
 
If there is a 4-5 holiday, you can go Weihai, Qingdao , call a ride (I don't know if it still exists now...) or take the train. I only went Weihai We went there by carpooling. The distance was not far and the journey was fast.

What is worth visiting in Weihai is Liugong Island. The ticket includes round-trip boat tickets to the island and the exhibition hall on the island. The whole island is a bit big, but if we just want to see the museum, walking is enough for a casual stroll. If you want to explore the whole island, there are battery cars and ropeways.
 
This island has a profound history. If you want to know more about the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1894, please take a look. There is a dedicated Sino-Japanese War of 1894-Japanese War Museum and Exhibition Hall to introduce this history. In addition, there are Whale Museum (many fish specimens and fossils, also interesting~), Forest Park (at the top of the mountain, you can go by cableway) and Old Diving Boat (there is an additional fee for this, I didn’t see it).
 
· Food, Drink & Accommodation in Weihai ·
 

  • Eat and drink: There are so many Korean restaurants in Weihai! Moreover, there are so many restaurants to eat on the road. There are so many places to choose from that it is difficult to choose. It’s really a city suitable for foodies

     

  • Accommodation: We stayed next to the Golden Beach. The sea was just a few steps away from where we stayed. It was very lively at night, with a lot of square dancing. It was good to take a walk and eat at seafood stalls.
