Leaving Wuyishan on July 30, the second stop is Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian. In addition to the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, the Fuzhou Museum, the Confucian Temple and the Lin Zexu Memorial Hall, the key things to see in Fuzhou are Yushan, Wushishan and Gushan, and then head south to Mawei District. We planned to visit the Shipbuilding Museum for three days, but we never thought that we encountered two typhoons in the past few days, making the entire two-day trip on July 31st and August 1st soaked in wind and rain!

(2017) Summer trip-Fuzhou

On the morning of the 31st, there were very few people on the street. I asked the hotel service staff and they said that people were staying at home to avoid Typhoon Nasha. Even though the wind and rain were heavy, it could not stop the enthusiasm of tourists. We first went to Hualin Temple in Fuzhou and passed the Drum Tower Ruins. . Unfortunately, the gate of Hualin Temple was closed tightly, and the announcement at the door said it was closed for renovation! Hualin Temple was built in the Northern Song Dynasty. It is the focus of my trip. It has a unique architectural style. It is said to have a huge influence on the architectural style of Japan's Kamakura period. It was built 200 years earlier than the "Creation of French Style". It was raining heavily, so we could only "Looking at the ocean and sighing" at the door!

The next step is to eat a series of "closed doors" due to the closure of scenic spots affected by the typhoon. The three lanes and seven alleys can only be wandered in the alleys. Almost all the scenic spots are closed. Except for a few sparse tourists like us on the road, at most The most popular ones are the food delivery and courier guys who walk through the streets.

Even in the rain, we have to scan several densely populated scenic spots in the city. God may have specially allowed us to experience Fuzhou in the rain.

There is a loose sign at the entrance of Yushan Park that the scenic area is closed due to the typhoon, so you can bypass it directly.

Yushan became famous mainly because the nine brothers of the He family made elixirs here during the Han Dynasty. Later, Wuzhu, the king of Minyue, had a nine-day banquet here. There are also cultural relics such as Tianjun Hall and Qigong Temple.

There is Baoen Temple in Shanxi, which contains the Baoen Dingguang Duobao Pagoda built by Tang Wang Shenzhi to save his deceased mother. It is also called White Pagoda Temple. Therefore, this scenic spot with an altitude of more than 50 meters and an area of more than ten hectares has many cultural relics and inscriptions and is famous. .

Leaving the White Pagoda Temple, not far across the street is the Wu Pagoda, which echoes the White Pagoda and has become a symbol of Fuzhou's historical and cultural city.

The Wu Pagoda is also called the "Chongmiao Baosheng Strong Tower" because there is a pagoda built in the Tang Dynasty with a black surface and was named Wu Pagoda.

The scenic spots are all very small, filled with large banyan trees and cliff inscriptions, often with hundreds of years of history. It can be seen that many literati gathered here in history to recite poems and compose poems.

It was already the time when the lanterns were on while we were walking through Uta, but the heavy rain was still pouring down. The three of us held up umbrellas and lanterns, jokingly calling ourselves “exploring three mountains at night” (we visited Gushan Scenic Area in the evening of the next day).

The next day, the sky opened and the rain stopped and it became cloudy.

We first went to the Fuzhou Museum, which has a large collection of cultural relics, including Shoushan stones, porcelain, lacquerware, and silk fabrics that represent local characteristics, as well as Nuo opera masks and opera cultural exhibits of local culture. The most impressive thing was the Maritime Silk Road exhibits. In addition to shipwreck salvage, A large number of exquisite porcelain, as well as Western cultural elements imported from the sea and religious sculptures and Buddhist statues, all tell the development and inheritance of the splendid civilization at that time.

Next is the Fuzhou Confucian Temple and Lin Zexu Memorial Hall. The Confucian Temple is dedicated to the founder Confucius. The main hall is solemn and solemn, especially the 72 disciples carved in bluestone, each with vivid and different expressions, which is very distinctive.

Next, visit the Lin Zexu Memorial Hall Exhibition. There is a lot of content on display. This great thinker, politician, and poet in the late Qing Dynasty not only made outstanding contributions to destroying opium in Humen, but also was the first person to see the world with open eyes. Do great things that benefit the country and the people.

In addition, he has profound attainments in calligraphy and literature.

It is very rare for many people to do something amazing in one thing, but a great person like Lin Zexu is able to make a great contribution in all aspects, which is worthy of our deep study and remembrance!

Lin Zexu Memorial Hall

Fuzhou Confucian Temple

Leave Lin Zexu Memorial Hall and go directly to Gushan Scenic Area in Jin'an District. The scenic spot is closed due to the typhoon and is guarded by security guards, but entry is not strictly prohibited.

After communicating with the security guard, we entered and walked up the Hero Trail. From time to time, we saw big trees blown down by typhoons lying across the road. The wind was roaring and cicadas were chirping. In addition, it was ten o'clock in the evening and there were typhoon warning signs everywhere. a little nervous.

My husband has always encouraged me to climb to the top, take it easy when I have come, and mobilize all the strength in my body to climb to the top!

In about an hour, the three of us climbed up to Yongquan Temple, and the cliff carvings came into view one by one. Finally, we saw Cai Xiang's "Forgetting to Return Stone", Zhu Xi's "Tianfeng Haitao", and saw the "Drinking Water Rock". It is said that there are more than 300 stone carvings here, which is the place with the highest concentration of cultural relics and stone carvings in Fuzhou. Unable to bear it, it was already dark when we reached the top, so we had to hold up the lantern and take pictures, and lingered.

When we returned, we no longer saw our group of fellow tourists.

But I felt relaxed on the way back. The bright lights in the distance showed the whole picture of Fuzhou. There was a cool breeze, the frogs were singing, the clouds were misty, the street lights were dim, and I listened to the songs on my mobile phone. It was almost nine o'clock in the evening. .

We stayed in Mawei District for the night and went to see the China Shipbuilding Museum the next day. The exhibition hall used the Westernization Movement as the background to introduce the arduous development of China's shipbuilding in detail. From it, we learned about Zuo Zongtang, Shen Baozhen and others' efforts to promote the development of China's shipbuilding Through the efforts made, a nation's shipping management has developed from scratch. After several generations of unremitting efforts, the predecessors planted trees and the next generation can enjoy the shade. Only by not forgetting the roots can we have more motivation to move forward!
