Leaving Lucerne today, we first took a train to Zurich, then transferred to Milan, where we took a plane to Helsinki.
I stayed in Switzerland for a total of 4 days. I mainly visited Geneva and Lausanne on the first two days, hiked the Glacier World and Five Lakes on the Matterhorn on the third day, and hiked Mount Pilatus in Lucerne on the fourth day.
Glacier World is the closest viewing point to Matterhorn. Please add some photos from that time.
When you arrive at Glacier World and walk out of the cable car platform, you will find a panoramic viewing platform. This is the best place to see the Matterhorn.
Stepping off the observation deck is a ski resort. Most people come here for skiing, and the proportion of tourists is relatively small, because tourists usually go to Gornergrat to see the scenery. If you like watching snow or skiing, you can choose Glacier World. The snow scenery is very good, but if you don’t ski, there are no other activities.
After walking for a while from the ski resort, you can take the cable car down. In the afternoon, you can also take a high-intensity hike to the Five Lakes. There are still relatively few people going down the mountain at this point, and most people are still at the ski resort. You can see a different scenery when you go down from the cable car station.
After getting off the cable car, the close viewing of the Matterhorn came to an end.
