After leaving Lulang Town today, the next stop should be Linzhi City. But in order to see the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon and Namjagbarwa Peak, our route will take a big turn when approaching Linzhi City. We will go south from the Linzhi Airport Expressway and then turn back and east to the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon. Suosong Village on the edge. Why did we choose to go to Suosong Village instead of the "Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon Scenic Area" opposite it? First, Suosong Village can not only see the YaLuzangbo Grand Canyon, it is also the best place to view the mysterious Namjagbarwa Peak from the frontup close; secondly, the scenic spot only You can enter by sightseeing bus in the scenic area. Suosong Village can be entered by car, which not only saves sightseeing tickets (you still need to buy tickets), but also allows you to go freely.

The best location to view the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon and Namjagbarwa Peak is Suosong Village

Not far from Lulang Town, I saw four worshipers prostrating themselves and kowtowing as they walked. When I entered Tibet this time, I saw that although such scenes were much less common, they could still be seen from time to time. The power of religion is immeasurable. .

Before leaving Lulang territory, Lulang Linhai was still walking with us. The vegetation in this section is so good.

After passing the Lulang Forest Sea, we came to Sejila Pass. Sejila Mountain Belongs to the Nyainchen Tanglha Mountains, which is the dividing zone between the eastern and central and western parts of Linzhi County in Tibet. It is also the watershed between the Niyang River Basin and the Parlung Zangbo River. The southern Tibet line crosses a mountain pass with an altitude of 4728 meters. Here you can see the sunrise, the sea of clouds and the endless forest. More importantly, it is an excellent location to overlook the majestic and majestic Namjagbarwa Peak. There is a stone stacked monument at the mountain pass. The number "7782" below the bull head decoration on the top is the altitude of Namcha Barwa Peak. Unfortunately, when we passed by, we saw nothing but clouds and mist. This is not surprising. If Namjagbarwa were so easy to see, it would not be called Namjagbarwa.

Coming down from Sejila Pass, the large-leaved azaleas on the hillside were in bloom, so I couldn't help but stop and take photos.

Before reaching the Brahmaputra River, we first passed through one of its tributaries, the Niyang River. The Niyang River spreads out before entering the Brahmaputra River and becomes a water network, spreading in the Niyang River wetland.

Niyang River Wetland

Not long after walking, the Niyang River merged into the Brahmaputra River. At the confluence of the rivers, the sky was blue, the water was wide, the clouds were rolling, and it was very pleasant to the eyes.

The road to Suosong Village is not short, but it doesn’t feel long because there are many attractions along the way. After passing through a beautiful tree-lined road, we came to Danniang Township, where a pile of sand dunes appeared on the riverside, called Buddha Palm Sand Dune. It is not strange to see sand dunes in the desert, but it is a bit strange to see such a sand dune on the riverside.

When I walked to a place called Pai Town, I suddenly saw a sign on the roadside that read "Nanga Bawa's Best Photography Spot". I quickly stopped to take pictures. After taking a few pictures, I realized something was wrong. Where is the best shooting spot? It turns out that this is a sign set up by a local to attract tourists to do business^_^.

.

We arrived at the "Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon Scenic Area". According to the plan, we did not enter this scenic area. We continued to walk 600 meters forward and turned northwest to cross the bridge to the other side of the Yarlung Zangbo River. We purchased tickets and entered the gate to go to Suosong Village. Once you pass the bayonet and go uphill for a short distance, the beautiful scenery of the Brahmaputra Grand Canyon is in front of you. Although it was already 7:15 in the evening and the light was not good, I couldn’t help but stop and take two photos.

We drove directly to the yard of Suosong Village Party and Mass Service Center (Village Committee) and parked the car. There is water in the yard but no toilet. The village officials who are college students in the village are very friendly and let us use the toilet in their office.

Looking over the roof of the Party and Mass Service Center in Suosong Village, I can see Namjagbarwa. Although I can't see its main peak and full view at this time, it still makes me excited.

The Namjagbarwa I saw over the roof made me excited

The purpose of our visit to Suosong Village is not only to see the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon, but more importantly, to see the true appearance of Namjagbarwa Peak.

Namjagbarwa Peak is located at the easternmost point of the Himalayas, with an altitude of 7,782 meters. It is the holy land of the "Yongzhong Ben Sect" in Tibet and is known as the "Father of the Mountains in Tibet". In "The Biography of King Gesar", Namjagbarwa Peak is described as "shaped like a spear, piercing the sky." In addition, the Brahmaputra Grand Canyon next to it makes a horseshoe-shaped bend around it before extending towards the Indian Ocean. The Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon surrounds Namjagbarwa, making the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon the most eye-catching scenery in this section. However, since Namjagbarwa Peak is located in the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon, where the hot air flow channel of the Indian Ocean and the cold air from the north meet, every year except October to April of the following year, Namjagbarwa is mostly obscured by clouds and fog, and is often obscured by clouds and fog. It rarely "shows its face", so it is also called the "Shameful Girl Peak". It is not easy to see it. There was once an unlucky foreign photographer who waited here for a month, but finally returned with no results.

As soon as the car was parked, I couldn't wait to pass all the buildings in Suosong village Zhu, went outside the village to take photos of Namjagbarwa. < >We waited until it got dark, and we could only see part of it. The main peak was only exposed for a moment, and it couldn’t be seen at all if we weren’t paying attention.

On the evening of June 13, 2021, Namjagbarwa revealed this to me

June 14, 2021

When I got up in the morning, I saw that the office door was unlocked. The college student village official was really nice. He deliberately left the door open so that we could go inside to use the bathroom.

We drove to the observation deck beside the Grand Canyon. While making breakfast, I waited for Namjagbarwa to show up. The Brahmaputra River flows leisurely at the bottom of the canyon. Until we finished breakfast, the main peak of Namjagbarwa was still half-covered with a pipa.

The clouds covering Namjagbarwa have always been thick. We left the observation deck and went down the river to Dalin Village to see Namjagbarwa from another angle.

Returning from Dalin Village, we simply set up camp at the observation deck at the foot of Namjagbarwa. We won’t leave today and will wait here, hoping to see the mysterious Namjagbarwa main peak, Shy Girl Peak.

After waiting for a day, near 7:00 in the evening, perhaps moved by our sincerity, Namjagbarwa finally took off its veil, revealed its head, and met us briefly. The triangular snow peak is like a sharp sword, piercing the blue sky, like a girl, shy and pure. A combination of hardness and softness, graceful and charming.

The main peak of Namjagbarwa finally appears

That night, we did not return to the Suosong Village Party and Mass Service Center to stay, so we camped at the observation deck. Maybe we can see the Rizhao Jinshan Mountain the next morning.

June 15, 2021

When I woke up in the morning, I actually saw the Rizhao Jinshan Mountain. However, it was not Namjagbarwa. It was backlit at the time, but the opposite mountain.

Rizhao Jinshan, June 15, 2021 6:54, Suosong Village

At this time, a big drama is taking place in Namjagbarwa and the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon at its feet. Thick clouds and mist slowly rose from the canyon, and then spread out, like a soft and white Hada floating in the air. Below Hada is the curved Yarlung Zangbo River, and above Hada is Namjagbarwa. The rising sun reflected the clouds above the mountain peak red. We just saw the main peak, but the changing clouds quickly hid it.

When the main peak of Namjagbarwa appeared again, it wore a hat and said good morning to us. The hat kept deforming, and finally formed a spectacle with countless extremely regular light-colored arcs on the head.

Namjagbarwa is synonymous with mystery. People say that "nine out of ten people will never meet you", especially in this season. Namjagbarwa, we waited for you for two days in the Brahmaputra Grand Canyon, and you finally lived up to me and lifted the veil of mystery to us! I believe that saying, those who can see Namjagbarwa are lucky. I believe in sincerity more. While we were waiting at the observation deck, chartered tour buses came here from time to time. The length of stay was less than 20 minutes, and the short stay was only a few minutes. If they can see Namjagbarwa like this, it is their destiny in the previous life.

Who knows, there are even more surprises. Just when we left Suosong Village and walked to the next viewing platform, suddenly, the whole picture of Namjagbarwa suddenly appeared in front of us, and the entire Namjagbarwa was unobstructed! OMG, we are such lucky people!

Namjagbarwa shows us its full picture

When the sun rose, we left Suosong Village with satisfaction. The sun was in the sky and shining brightly. Finally, take a look at Namjagbarwa under the sunshine , and take a look at the Brahmaputra Grand Canyon like a gouache painting.

In Suosong Village, we fully appreciated the charm of Namjagbarwa, the painting style of the Brahmaputra Grand Canyon, and saw the excellent scenery of Namchagbarwa and the Brahmaputra River complementing each other.

Unforgettable Sosong Village!
