Preface
Although everyone generally thinks that this epidemic is boring, for me, it is a rare opportunity to organize myself. Maybe because I am a squatter + pigeon spirit , hahaha. Without further ado, this time I edited a VLOG from 1 when I went to Kuocang Mountain during the 8th National Day.
2018 was the year in which I did the most hiking . On the New Year’s Eve of 2019, I made a small summary in my circle of friends. At that time, I vowed that I would keep going, but then the Flag fell as expected.
In 2019, I mainly spent my time and money on photography. I increasingly felt that hiking was not suitable for me, and gradually changed to a medium- and long-term volunteer travel method. Even so, hiking is a happy memory for me.
Recently, I have compiled a lot of travel photos or vlogs from the past. Compared with now, of course the photos I took back then cannot be viewed. Nobuyoshi Araki once mentioned the concept of "private photos" . These semi-finished photos of mine are probably my "private photos". So I am willing to take these photos and take them out.
During the New Year's Eve of 2020, I also thought about whether to make a summary of 2019 in photography. But I had final exams at that time, and I was really bald... plus many of the works I shot in 2019 were not finished... so I didn't do it. During this time, I will retouch more pictures and make it before the epidemic is over!
This time, Kuocang Mountain was shot with both mobile phones and cameras, using Sigma dp0q. Through this travel journal, I also edited many pictures from the camera. Although it was shot in 2018, the film production rate is really high... There is a saying that this camera is indeed good, but I sold it before I understood its goodness. 555.
Without further ado, let’s start this journey to Kuocang Mountain!
10.04 Sunset at Kuocang Mountain
The original intention of going out this time was that I felt that my National Day holiday was too boring, so I went to the platform to sign up for a two-day and one-night hiking group. We had to meet at Hongqiao Road subway station at 7:50 in the morning, so I set off early after five o'clock.
There were three team leaders who led the team at that time, but I had no impression of them. Getting in the car is about introducing yourself and going to sleep. I set off alone this time, but I have always been very good at getting along with others. I had a pleasant chat with a sister who was sitting next to me in the car. We stopped at two service areas on the way. At noon we arrived at the foot of Kuocang Mountain and the bus started circling.
We passed a grocery store in the middle. The tour leader asked us to get off the bus and said the scenery here was very nice. Coming to the rooftop was just as expected. Hence this photo.
After that, we continued up the mountain, because there were more people on National Day and it was a bit congested. At PM3:28, we finally arrived at the top of the mountain , and then the team leader began to allocate rooms. It is worth mentioning that the B&Bs on Kuocang Mountain are all very interestingly built, and the rows of small houses are very beautiful.
Instead of being assigned to a room with the young lady I had a good rapport with in the car, I was assigned to a room with a Christian , which was a different kind of adventure. There were five or six Christians on this trip who had never met each other before. They met in the online fraternity and made an appointment to hang out together.
I was quite interested in religion at the time, so I asked my roommate a few questions, and she answered them for me one by one. As long as they are not offended, Christians are kinder than the average person.
The afternoon is free for activities. Because I got along well with my roommate, it was natural for me to hang out with other believers. KuocangThe top of the mountain is relatively small, and a little further away is the undeveloped part, so there are not many recreational activities. There are some small vendors on both sides of the road, selling mutton kebabs which are very fragrant and cheap.
PM4:30, everyone was wandering around to watch the sunset. Kuocang Mountain is characterized by endless mountains and dotted with windmills , so the sunset here is relatively famous. Many of the group members who came together were photographers . At sunset, the area near Shuguang Monument was packed with people.
The weather was very good that day and we saw a beautiful sunset. At that time, I was still a novice who knew nothing about parameters. I only knew how to press the shutter button.
Maybe everyone is happy to teach me because I am young and cute. For example, when shooting silhouettes, you need to slow down by three stops. I still remember it now.
It's funny to say, because I was wearing a green coat at the time, so those Christian sisters kept calling me Little Green, which was quite fun.
In addition to the Shuguang Monument, the rooftop of the Peak Hotel is also a very good viewing spot, but only guests staying there can go up there.
It lasts until PM7:30, and the sunset is over. The sunset lasts for a long time, so you can take good photos.
It’s time to prepare dinner at 7:40 PM. At that time, the team provided two ways for dinner, one was to have Chinese food normally, and the other was to have a self-service barbecue in a tent outside. Some other friends and I chose BBQ.
Roasted Lamb
I had a great time eating that night! The main reason is that I have a teammate who is very good at grilling and is willing to contribute , so we all work together and have a great time. Outdoor natural barbecue smoke and dust are very big, he worked really hard!
And when I went up the mountain, I brought less clothes for convenience, and the wind was very strong at night. Everyone cared about me and lent me clothes. I was almost wearing Baijiayi hahaha.
The happy memories of that day are still in my mind. It may be one of the few times I feel Teamwork of strangers When traveling, you will meet many friendly and unique people, and you will also meet many unexpected idiots. Unexpected Expectations , supporting us to keep going.
The mountain wind was particularly strong at night, so everyone went back to their rooms early after dinner. Hardware But can't keep up. Portable toilet Make women feel insecure, the housing department's canteen Supplies The mountain wind was fierce, and the Heating But it’s not enough. I don’t know if it has gotten better over the years, haha.
10.5 Hiking on Kuocang Mountain
The weather on the second day was not very satisfactory, it was a bit foggy. We got up in the morning and went to the hotel to have breakfast. I was smart enough to bring a bowl of Cup Noodles, which won constant praise from everyone.
AM8:09, get ready and stretch your muscles, we will prepare to go down the mountain.
We went down the mountain on a wild road that only local villagers would take. Because of the rain, the ground became slippery a lot, making the hike more difficult. There were some steep places along the way, and we had to work together to get through it.
I was so good back then, hahaha
Wear knee pads when going down the mountain
This section of the road is difficult and the route is short, so it is considered a near miss. AM9:52, we walked back to the main road , and everyone's mood gradually became lighter.
One of my teammates was very interesting and put wild flowers on his makeshift crutch . After asking, I found out that he was a biologist studying medicine in Shanghai.
He also put a Pine cones shaped like roses It was given to me and I still keep it.
At about 10:30 AM, everyone came down the mountain one after another. We packed up and got into the car and embarked on the return journey.
10.05 Ziyang Old Street
AM11:49, we arrived at another scenic spot in Taizhou City - Ziyang Old Street . I have a pretty good impression of this town. The first is that it is really primitive, and the second is that commercialization is not very serious, and it is more of local characteristics.
Ziyang Old Street is the first ancient street in Linhai City, built on the ancient Great Wall . Go up from the East Lake Land Rover Gate and come down from the West City Gate. The more famous ones are egg white sheep tail, seaweed cake, handmade ginger candy and so on.
Egg white lamb tail is not lamb tail, but a fried pastry. It is named for its cute shapesnowy white and plump taste. Well worth trying.
In addition, there are old ladies selling plum blossom cakes on the roadside, which are very cheap, one dollar a piece. The taste is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Since then, I have never eaten such delicious plum blossom cakes in scenic spots in Jiangsu and Zhejiang.
I had lunch with the Christians. The seafood in Linhai City is relatively abundant, so we ordered a whole fish feast at that time. The taste is average. The only thing that impressed me was a kind of shellfish called Blood Clam . When you break it open, red juice will flow out. Although it is not blood, it always tastes like blood. gas.
An old Bank of China is also located in Ziyang Old Street and has been converted into a museum. I also stopped by to have a look after dinner. I bought some souvenirs for my brother along the way, such as a small purple gourd and a suspended bamboo dragonfly . Unfortunately, the bamboo dragonfly was lost later, which made me annoyed for a long time.
It was about two o'clock when we came out of the old street. As people gradually arrived, we headed back to Shanghai. Overall, this trip was quite worthwhile. I saw a spectacular sunset and made some special friends. It was quite interesting.
