📍Aershan City is the city with the smallest population in my country and one of the cities with the highest latitude in the country. It has a winter that lasts for more than seven months.

After a long journey to the inn, I felt very tired and took a nap. When I woke up, I suddenly entered the winter in Aershan - it snowed in Aershan❄️. This was the first snow I saw in 2020.

For dinner, we went to a Northeastern restaurant called "Small Town Family Banquet". Sharing a table with us was a couple from Beijing. We chatted about our respective itineraries. We don't know their names or contact information. We may not know each other in the future. We meet again, but I feel very happy to share the feeling of being on the road together.

Another restaurant that I can recommend is "Baolige Ice-cooked Lamb Hotpot". It is already very cold in the Arshan in October, and only the warm lamb hotpot can resist the cold.

🔺What to eat in Aershan

After dinner, we walked to Aershan Railway Station, which is known as "the most beautiful railway station in China".

📍Aershan Railway Station

It was built in 1997 when the Japanese Kwantung Army was stationed there. It was called "China's smallest and most beautiful train station" by netizens. For tourists, Aershan Railway Station is a scenic spot, but for Aershan citizens, it is a port to the world. From this train station, you can go to Shenyang, Ulanhot, Changchun, Hailar and other cities. . If you are not in a hurry, you can take a green train and wander slowly to Aershan.

Transportation in the Aershan area is not very convenient. There are very few buses. The way to travel is basically to rent a car or charter a car locally. If you rent a car, you have to pay for the gas yourself. In addition, we are not familiar with the route, so we finally chose to charter a car. , I booked 4 days on Fliggy half a month before departure.

Overall, the accommodation conditions in Aershan are not very good. The best conditions are in the urban area, followed by Chaihe Town, and the worst ones are in the Forest Park. Due to the needs of the itinerary, I have to stay in the Forest Park for one night. . When booking a hotel, be sure to choose one with heating, otherwise it will be really cold.

Aershan National Forest Park

Aershan National Forest Park is located at the southwest foothills of the Greater Khingan Mountains. It is developed on the Aershan volcanic lava landscape. It is a magical kingdom that is half forest and half volcano.

📍Grand Canyon

The formation of the Aershan Grand Canyon is due to volcanic eruptions and thousands of years of water erosion. It is a very unique natural landscape, very similar to the Colorado Grand Canyon in the United States. Walking inside, there are huge piles of volcanic lava on both sides. It makes people feel so small and life so fragile.

Mo'a Highway

The only road from Aershan Forest Park to Chaihe Scenic Area has different scenery along the way, connecting wetlands, forests, lakes and small towns. It is suitable for self-driving athletes and photography enthusiasts to take photos while walking.

Tianchi

Tianchi is a special landscape in Aershan. It is a ring-shaped wall formed by the eruption of a volcano, with a circular depression in the middle and water accumulation for many years. From Aershan Forest Park to Chaihe Town, we passed four Tianchi in total.

🔺Moon Tianchi

In the first three days, we walked along the Mo-A Highway and passed through the beautiful virgin forest, using a drone to record the dreamy scene of late autumn in the Greater Khingan Mountains. The drone hit a tree branch above Moon Tianchi and crashed. The beautiful scenery after that could only be captured with a camera📷.
